Transformations don't play as big a role in Berserk as they do in something like Dragon Ball Z, but they're still an important part of the story. Guts goes wild when his Berserker Armour takes over, for example, and demons like Nosferatu Zodd have a true form that allows them to exert their real strength.
It's pretty cool, then, that Koei Tecmo's upcoming Berserk hack and slasher features character transformations, which can apparently be activated mid-battle. According to Gematsu's translation of the game's official website, transforming improves your attack power and attack speed, giving you the ability to mince dozens of enemies in a single blow. Sounds about right to us.

Bloody. Good.
Spoilers for anyone unfimiliar with the manga
More importantly the "story" section on the official Japanese site clearly shows us (via all the screens) that they will indeed cover most of the story arcs (I'd guess up till the end of the Falcon of the Millennium Empire arc, noting that we can see a screen of Guts riding on Zodd). What got me really exicted was the two screens showing Guts dueling with the Count, which means we'll see at least portions of the Black Swordsman arc (neglected in the new anime), which I personally love.
@Utena-mobile In the manga, the whole arc with the count comes before the Golden Age arc (when Guts joins Band of the Hawk), which basically means that it's all a flashback. So it'll all depend on how the game does it, either chronologically or back and forth like the manga.
@Utena-mobile That's my biggest concern. It looks like they're going through almost the whole manga. That's a lot of material, i hope they do it justice. I've heard they did a pretty good job with it with their anime adaptations (Arslan and Attack on Titan) but this is probably gonna be a bigger challange.
