Pray tell us more about your PlayStation 4 reboot Prey, Bethesda. Oh, you're going to drop a gameplay trailer out of nowhere? Well, if you insist. As you can see from the embedded video, Arkane Studios' latest very much falls under the psychological sci-fi shooter umbrella – with BioShock powers to boot. It's set in 2032, and somehow you've developed the ability to augment yourself with alien abilities. Bad ass.
The game's set on Talos I, a sprawling space station that you'll be able to explore in a Metroidvania-like fashion. As is the norm for all games these days, there'll be some crafting thrown in for good measure, so it looks like exploration is going to play a big role in your survival. At this stage, we reckon that the visuals stink, but we do love the design of the shadowy alien creatures, so there's potential here.
Plus, the world could do with a new BioShock-type title, seeing as Ken Levine clearly can't be arsed making one.

I love the alien creatures, and the idea of an interconnected game world. Not sure about everything else yet, though.
Nice. Im a big fan space horror shooters. Hopefully the story is good.
Gave me a big half-life vibe
Felt a bit Bio-Shocky to me with some of the environments. Looks great!
A Metrodvania game set on Talos? Are you sure it isn't a reboot of Vigilance on Talos?

Mentions 2034 at the :09 mark and 2035 at the :46 mark, but it's set in 2032?
Looks interesting. developer guy says it's less horror and more a psychological 'identity - who am I' story. No, it's a good looking, solitary Bio-shock- alike FPS in space from what we've seen so far.
The visuals don't stink, I prefer they go for an art style like this, than realism
I am hoping less of a bugfest then FO4 somehow Bethesda and open world games on a Playstation platform dont work well.
Looks ok , but dosent feel like the old prey to me.
Looks like a Dead Space reboot than PREY reboot...
