Despite it launching in a few short months and there being a standalone demo available on the PlayStation Store, we still don't know a whole lot about Resident Evil 7. Fortunately, Capcom has shared a tidbit with ambassadors: the forthcoming first-person sequel will include healing herbs. At least try and act surprised, eh?
The image shows two plants and a couple of mixed concoctions, but it also pays particular attention to a coin. What could it mean? Well, it stands to reason that you'll probably be able to purchase potions using in-game currency like in previous Resident Evil titles – but maybe there's more than meets the eye here. Your guess is as good as ours.

The coin refers to the player's ability to spend their own money on herbs with microtransactions, obviously.
@Lolzified to be honest, it really wouldn't surprise me.
So this constitutes a gaming news article? I must say guys, reaching a little?
@Lolzified I can already smell the shitstorm if they actually do this. Frankly, I'm hoping it's a quarter in order to use on a pay phone as a save-system - their way of returning the Typewriter mechanic.
What are you buying? What are you selling?
Will it have red herbs? blue herbs? gold herbs? purple herbs? The cut pink herb that was going to be in RE0?
Definitely the new ' ink ribbon ' for saving your game. The pay phone is a great idea.
Let's see, MAYBE the coins will be used in vending machine that can be found in certain places through the game.
and the coins you collected can be inherited to new game+
