PS4 Pro Takes 4K Screenshots, Captures 1080p Video

@ShogunRok You guys planning on doing any articles on the Slim now that it's official? Every time you write a PS4 Pro piece it seems to make me want 1 even less. I want to see if you can talk me out of a Slim as well and make me go pick up a PS4 before Sept 15th.

I know that sounds very sarcastic, but I think it's worth an article which PS4 to get and why, before the old models are all gone.

Edit: I just remembered I'm the only person on here w/o a PS4, so people really probably only need to know whether they should upgrade to Pro, can't imagine there's any reason to get a Slim, but maybe people want a 2nd original PS4 before the butt ugly Slims replace them?

@rjejr I don't have a PS4 either, just a PS3. But it makes no sense not to get a Pro. once both versions are out, most of the "AAA" games are going to be optimized for the better system, and just made sure to function on the older one. Ala new 3DS enhanced games vs them being on a OG 3DS.

Pretty neat! Not really a selling point, but it's nice to know I guess! I've got my Pro preordered, now I just gotta get a 4K TV!

I know what you are saying, I've seen those Hyrule Warriors Legends side by side comparison videos, and it's not pretty. So I'm likely to go Pro, but I'm still on the fence, and I was expecting to be all "full steam ahead" after the reveal. But the reveal was all 4k vid and HDR, then no ultra drive, and I don't share anything, and it's $100 more than Slim. which is also getting HDR. I don't buy Apple products, I buy Android. And I don't even buy Samsung, I buy $50 - $100 no contract smartphones b/c they do enough for much less money. So it' snot a mater of PS4 Pro being better, it's a matter of it being $100 better, of Slim being enough. So I'm just honestly waiting until I see the bundle prices this BF, b/c if Slim is on sale for $249 but Pro is still $399, well Pro isn't $150 better for no 4k TV me.

And growing, b/c some people w/o 4k TVs will go for the cheaper model. And I'm not sure how many of those 40 mil will upgrade, b/c there doesn't seem to be a lot of incentive. I'm sure 2-3 million, but that's very different than 20-30 million.

Horizon does look really good, and God of War will as well. If I was in the market for a 4k HDR tv, probably would be an easy choice, but that's probably at least a few years away, so PS5. Or next holiday when PS4 Pro gets updated to an ultra drive. PS3 had 2 slims, slim and super slim w/ that awful sliding top (I own 1, it's awful) so a newer Pro shouldn't surprise anybody. PS3 also had about 6 different HDD sizes - 24, 40, 60, 80, 120, 500, 12 - so changes are always being made.

So, will we be able to play games like GTA V and Destiny in 60 fps? Is that something that will happen naturally / do the devs need to update the games / can it happen?

Any news about the PS4 Pro remote playing games at 1080p?

@AlexKidd Devs need to patch the games to take advantage of 'Pro' features.

And you do realize NIntendo Life and Push Square share the same comment system? I'm not going to change my avator to recognize I own Nintendo and Sony products. R.O.B. is the greatest invention in mankind's history, and he should be everyone's avatar and Facebook picture.

I would be a little surprised if PS4 Pro didn't far out perform the slim to warrant the extra $100. Sony has the market by the palm of their hands.... I don't think they would be dumb enough to repeat their PS3 launch mistakes.

Well some of that is for the extra HDD space, 500GB vs 1TB. Judging by the X1S system of 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, that extra 500GB is worth $50, so they are really only asking for an extra $50 for power. Considering the Slim is $299, how much more power are you going to get for $50?

And it doesn't matter what Sony wants the price to be, Black Friday is Black Friday, the systems will be on sale. Or stores bypass the MSRP by offering $50, $75 or $100 gift cards. Or throw in a game or an extra controller.

I'll figure something out. I just hope I know if I'm putting aside any money for the NX before then.

@rjejr Well i thought the same as you but then i saw a video review it's more silent, with proper pictures I does look great, uses less power, better WiFi. So i have to disagree with you.
