Sony's revealed April's full PlayStation Plus lineup, and we can already see people sharpening their pitchforks. First off, we have the previously confirmed Drawn to Death on PlayStation 4. It'll be joined by the quirky Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.
Cross-buy titles include 10 Second Ninja X and Curses 'n Chaos, so you can nab those on both PS4 and Vita. PS3, meanwhile, gets Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom and Alien Rage. Yeah, not the strongest selection we've ever seen.
What do you make of next month's games? Please don't shoot the messenger in the comments section below.

Apart from Drawn to Death - Disappointing once again
Luckily I've got way too much to play for this to be a problem.
Smh, and breathe
I thought Drawn to Death was going to be free anyways. Either way, DON'T CARE. PERSONA 5!
Oh.. * tumbleweed *
Always wanted to try LIADSP so happy with that. Not sure I'll like it mind.
Drawn to death isn't really for me.
Not bad, better than last month...
Outside of one or two loud people, is the complaining really that bad here? Seems like it's blown out of proportion on both sides here.
Considering how great the last few month have been, people shouldn't too greedy.
My roommate has told me on several ocassions that Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is brilliant, but I've never played it. Might have to give that one a look. Nothing that really make me go wow though.
Pffffttt.
Pretty bad month for me other than Invizimals which I was planning on playing one day. Guess it's better than nothing. The indie games look terrible to me.
Wheres knack though?
Would love to see more JRPG love on Ps Plus, especially from the 'JRPG' platform holder of choice! But hey ho, i'll give DtD and CnC a go.
10 second ninja just reminds me too much of my love life.
bit disappointing when you consider the XB1 is getting
Ryse Son of Rome
The Walking Dead Season 2
Darksiders
and Assassin's Creed Revelations
not that the games are bad but the competition has been out doing Sony for a while now and i feel if it wasn't for the fact the PS+ is needed for online it wouldn't have near the amount of users it does
EDIT: before anyone else comments on this please read the other comments in the coment section as i have already answered this MULTIPLE times and i am sick of repeating myself
Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime was one I wanted to play. The rest is a bit of a bust.
Looks like I won't be resubscribing. Again.
Oh well. PERSONA 5!!!
WAKE UP, GET UP, GET OUT THERE!
Meh. That is all.
Im pretty happy with the selection. Had my finger hovered over the buy button for 10 second ninja for a while so glad I will get this for Vita, and interested in trying the two ps4 games. Lets be honest though. Nothing is getting in the way of Persona 5 in April, (or by the sounds of things May either)
And Cue the crying
I am happy to get more games end off with mass effect and horizon and persona I will have a wait to play these so its good
Language -Tasuki-
zzzZZZZ
@FullbringIchigo Except PlayStation has had Assassin Creed games on plus before along with Darksiders and The Walking Dead Season 2 and Ryse is pretty rubbish.
Well it could have been worse. It could have been PES and Road Not Taken or something.
@get2sammyb lmao 😂😂
I use psplus just for cloud saves and psn discount now, nothing for me this month.
Not too fussed by this months but got loads to get on with anyway so not the end of the world... Alien Rage has got a 43% on metacritic... not that i care for their ratings system but are Sony still using these numbers as justification for games choices still? I cant remember....
You get games with PS Plus…?
The PS3 games look better than PS4 games. Pity there's not backwards compatibility.
I'm not complaining about free games but Xbox games with gold always seems to give away more "premium" games. They are giving ryse and walks dead season 2 this month. For the PS4 it just doesn't seem to be getting the same treatment, it's not even like there isn't a huge selection of games anymore. If I still played my PS3 maybe wouldn't be so bad or if there was proper backwards compatibility so I could play on my ps4.
@FullbringIchigo to be fair Sony are in the habit of actually releasing new games on their console for people to play 😉
In all seriousness I am getting a bit of a backlog so I won't have time for any free games for quite some time
@adf86 whether or not PSN has had them before is unimportant what matters is that right now in April 2017 XBL are giving away at least 2 AAA games even if they are old and all PSN is giving away are indi titles
the actual games or their overall quality are also unimportant whats important is the type of thing on offer and PSNow has been lacking for a while
and it's not like Sony couldn't start releasing launch titles like Killzone or Infamous Second Son for example
Drawn to death looks interesting and could be fun with some late night jams with some friends. However the next few weeks are going to be consumed with Persona 5
@carlos82 true the XB1's first party releases are really lacking
How dare Sony give away a brand new, third person shooter, exclusive ip on plus...
Honestly people moan about anything, I think it good to see a shooter in plus, people are bashing it without even playing it...
Not great, but Persona 5. That is all.
Interested in Drawn to Death..the rest.?well I won't judge until I try them but seeing as I am Never Ever going to be short a game to play anymore because of my back log I'm not too bothered what we get.
Not exactly stellar, but personally it's a good month for this lineup since I'm one of the unlucky people that had their WiFi broken with the 4.50 update so I can't download anything anyway. I guess that qualifies as a silver lining sort of thing.
Don't have PSN anymore and this line up don't make me jump at the chance to get it lmao
@Number_6 hahaha, good luck with getting your PS4 fixed. @hego how's yours coming along mate?
Terrible month, there's no one who can dress this dross up. Knack, Kill zone, Infamous, tlou, bloodborne, Drive club, Uncharted 1-4, no man's sky, ratchet and clank.
There's your next 12 month headliners Sony then fill in the blanks with the crud no one wants to buy.
After falling foul of several previous months free games (ie... I already owned them all) , any month where I own ZERO already is great for me! This 'll do. Lovers has always been on my list and that new cartoony multiplayer might just be alright.
@Wesker that's what Playstation Now is for, if you haven't tried it I think you can still get a free week's trial.
Naff month in all honesty, but I was looking to try Ninja X in the sale so wooooo.
Not to stir the pot, but as someone who owns both consoles, I really wish Sony would step up their game here. Over on Games with Gold we're getting Ryse, Walking Dead S2, Darksiders, and AC: Revelations. A killer month for free AAA stuff. Meanwhile, PS Plus continues to churn out cheap indies.
@imtom2002
I think it's pretty clear that Sony and MS have decided to go in completely different directions with their free games. MS is giving away big name, AAA stuff a lot now. Sony is using PS Plus to drum up interest for indie titles that would probably be completely overlooked otherwise. I'm starting to think that's not going to change.
Will never be good again. Draw to Death is the only thing remotedly good. I keep paying this thing because of For Honor, but next month may (may get it?) be my last PS+ month.
Two more games into the "someday I may have enough domestic free time to play a PS3" stash. Didn't even google them yet to spare myself a dose of unquenchable curiosity. XD
Drawn to Death is still a "hmmm, might try, I guess" title to me, mostly eye-catching due to its visuals. Too bad it doesn't have a single player mode, but I hope there will be a local multiplayer in the future like the developers suggested once. 10 Second Ninja X? I haven't even caught up with Ninja Senki DX yet... ninjas, ninjas everywhere... XD Okay unless you went and grabbed it in the current "two for the price of one" sale; frankly, these overlaps are one valid and understandably bewildering issue I hear in PS Plus comments. At this point, endmonth indie sales could start suffering just because of people being cautious.
What I'm really all over in this offering is Lovers - it's a game I've fancied and imagined on PS Plus more than once. Too bad it's not on Vita, but PS4 offers a local co-op and actually makes it look like the primary intended mode. Between this and Curses'n'Chaos, it's all the more variety and fun for me and my friend's hangout times! Although I suspect Enter the Gungeon will still continue to play the first fiddle therein. X^)
A relatively more "modest" round indeed, but it IS coming after Tearaway Unfolded and Severed in one month, so I'd be an ungrateful bastard to complain.
Huh.I didn't know Lovers had a single player mode. Guess I'll try it out.
I kind of wish they would just drop PS3 and Vita support other then cross buy and start giving us VR games.
Although I have 10 second ninja on PC and it's actually pretty fun.
@FullbringIchigo The actual games or their quality is unimportant..? Huh. Okay. Personally I've no interest in PS+ giving away "big hitters" since I've either already got them or have no interest in having them. Sometimes it seems people want to see big games listed just so they have some bragging rights or something!
i very rarely download (or add to library) the games from ps+, i wouldn't play stuff that doesn't interest me even if it's free. it would be the same even if it were a triple-A games every month. in all likelyhood any triple-A that interests me i'd have bought long before it would appear on ps+, so even that model would be of no interest or benefit to me. i only use ps+ for the multiplayer and the discounts, and to be honest, i buy so little digitally, i don't make huge savings (certainly not more than the £35 a year i pay for the sub). i think ps+ needs to change, but i don't really have an answer as to how, since PSnow isn't of any interest to me, and even if they were to offer video selections off the store, it'd probably something i've seen or crap i wouldn't watch. :-/
@kyleforrester87 yeah there're not the quality of the game is''t important the fact is they are giving what are considered AAA games but Sony are not, it just makes it look like they don't really care about the service
now i'm perfectly fine with indi titles but all the time?
lol disgusting.
Wow, so I checked and Invizimals isn't available on PS3 in NA...so is NA getting bent over this month?
I do what I usually do. Put all Plus games in my library en keep myself entertained with AAA titles. Now Horizon and after I'll dig up some good stuff from my backlog. No reason to complain ^^
@Aexurion No reason lol
@kyleforrester87 totally agree...i Thought the other person comment was a bit odd, basically doesn't matter about quality just as long as its "AAA"...Id much rather play a decent indie(which the" indie" games on ps store mostly arent in this day and age!) than a lacklustre AAA...ans Something we haven't played before is always good right?
I'm a bit relieved if anything, finally a distraction-free month... Might give Lovers a look though
LOL, I really don't know why I was excited for this month...obvious it would be meh after they revealed Drawn to Death, since it's a new title.
Sigh
I don't really care, the free game's are an added bonus anyway I don't consider them part of the package. If they're good it's a joy but if they suck it's no biggie it's an added extra, i'd happily pay the subscription without free game's.
Like most PS+ games, I will probably play these once for about 10 minutes each before I never play them again.
Ehhhhh
What's that? Why sony do it like this? Any way let it go...
Finaly i can play DTD <3 but about others ...:/
@FullbringIchigo Walking Dead Season 2 was on plus ages ago
@crazykcarter that's why I have plus to play online the games are a bonus your paying for the service now not the games, the amount I save in the sales is the best thing about plus
@RedMageLanakyn Nope you're right. Some people are unhappy with the games and say that. Some people love anything they're given and say that. It's a difference opinion like with every other thing in the world and the people getting triggered by it are pretty sad. It's a complete non issue.
@GlynCR and as i said before what the games are and whether or not PS+ has already had them is unimportant, it's the fact that MS are offering AAA games and Sony are offering Indi games it just makes Sony LOOK like they don't give a damn about the service
do people even bother to read the comment section to see if things have already been answered? or just jump on the first comment they see that they don't agree with?
@FullbringIchigo all i did was point out one of the free games on gold has already been on plus I wasn't having a go at you just making a point
Roll on to next month ................I guess.
If there was no multiplayer my 40 quid a year would be wasted away.
@GlynCR yeah and i was a bit curt for which i apologise but i was just sick of repeating myself
anyway on topic as i said i feel that even if PS+ had them ages ago is unimportant but what is important is for the same price on XBL you are getting AAA games with some that work on both 360 and XB1 because of the backwards compatibility and Sony just offering up indi games makes it look like they don't care and are offering a worse service
i'm not saying the games Sony are offering are bad or the ones XB are offering are good but they APPEAR to be offering more and it's all about perception after all how many people will think "why pay £40 a year for a bunch on indi games on PS4 when XB are offering full retail games for the same price?"
Sony have plenty of first party PS4 launch titles they could add to the service
either that or they should drop the free games completely and make PSNow part of the service or at least let us play some select PSNow games for free if we have PS+ with the games changing every one or two months
Mleh about sums it up.
@FullbringIchigo I like the PSNOW idea I've been saying for a while it should be part of the plus line up (2 30day trails of any of the games on there) but as I've said before many times your not paying £40 for the games your paying it for online play the games he always been a bonus to me as I never had plus on ps3 for 2 reason, I owned most of the games offered early on and the online was free, I paid for XBLA on 360 and there were no extras offered until Sony started throwing "free" games into the mix.
while I admit I'd like to see some more mainstream games on plus it's not the reason I subscribe
@JoeBlogs like have said before " it's all about perception after all how many people will think "why pay £40 a year for a bunch on indi games on PS4 when XB are offering full retail games for the same price?"
and again AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE it makes it LOOK like Sony don't really care about the service, i'm not saying the games are better, i'm not saying the service is better just that it looks like XB are offering a better deal
Thanks Sony the gift that always disappoints.. well at least in have the xbox one aswell as last months and this month got some very good games
@FullbringIchigo COULDNT AGREE More I'm really satisfied with games with gold of recent just wish Sony would give some games away rather than trashy indie crap
I don't think I'll download any of the games and honestly, I'm kind of doubting my Playstation Plus year subscription purchase 2 months ago.
@dkxcalibur do you play online regularly?
@GlynCR I tend to play online in chunks. I'll play a particular game online for a week or two and then not touch it for a couple weeks. I was playing FIFA 17 & Battleborn but I'm finally playing through all the Uncharted games since I never owned a PS4 until recently.
Why isn't anyone touching on the fact that one of these games can't be offered in NA because it's not even available here?! Even Sony's NA blog has the game listed which is misrepresentation when it isn't even listed on our PSN Store. Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom, just search for it on NA's PSN and you'll see what I mean...
@dkxcalibur I only ask as that's the service your paying for with plus on ps4, if I didn't play online I wouldn't be paying for it
imo if your subscribing cos of the games that they offer your chucking your cash away there a bonus for me and while they may not be what people want or expect Sony to offer (they kinda made a rod for there own back by giving great games at the start on ps3) I've played a load of games through plus I may never have experienced
Looks like I got my wish of no Plus games for April (worth downloading). Sorry guys!
But to soothe the pain, there are a lot of good Plus deals on PS Store right now.
@JoeBlogs OK i'm "biting peoples heads off" because i sick of repeating my self over and over because for some reason people don't seem to bother reading my other posts and be honest wouldn't it start to annoy you too
So once again, it's all about PERCEPTION as i have said before how old the games on offer this month are or their quality are not important in this regard when you look at it for the same price MS are offering AAA games Sony are not THAT IS ALL I WAS SAYING, when will people understand this I'M NOT SAYING MS ARE OFFERING BETTER GAMES what i'm saying is they are making it LOOK like they are offering a better service
see those words "LOOK LIKE"
@JoeBlogs i don't mind people answering my comments but i still think it would be nice for them to look to see if their question was already answered first
and yeah PS+ is getting some great games but people always seem to look on the negative side
BUT i still think that Sony should stop giving free games away with PS+ and just allow us free access to our choice of 2 or 3 games on PSNow each month instead
either that or increase the price a bit and make all of PSNow part of the PS+ service
Nothing to write home about, Drawn to Death looks interesting though.
