What? There's a new Assassin's Creed game coming? Who would have guessed? The heavily rumoured Assassin's Creed Origins - previously known as Assassin's Creed Empire - will supposedly take place in Egypt, and it'll mark the return of naval transport and combat. There's even been a leaked screenshot, which looks pretty legit and ties into all of the whispers that have been gaining speed over the last few weeks.
Anyway, Ubisoft's confirmed that a new Assassin's Creed title is indeed heading our way before the end of the fiscal year - that's before the 31st March 2018. The publisher posted a teasing tweet over on Twitter, which features a GIF that reads "A New Era Begins". Alongside Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2, the next Assassin's Creed is an absolute lock for Ubisoft's press conference at E3 next month.

Looking forward to this.
@get2sammyb Yeah. We'll see what it offers next month. Most details have been leaked already though.
Assassins Creed has so much potential in an ancient Egyptian setting. Let's hope it's not a tower climbing simulator like the past few entries
Even seeing the logo is getting me giddy, very much looking forward to E3. I've missed AC.
While them completely focusing on historical setting would be gre8 but I hope there are more significant modern setting maybe a reboot with Desmond or something.
A new era begins...you no longer climb towers, you climb pyramids!
I really like the setting, so I'm pretty hyped for this.
I really enjoy each assassins creed but they always seem to take one step forwards two steps back. Hopefully there will be no greedy micro transactions in this one and they aren't holding back half of the game to sell on as DLC (I don't know why I even said that this is ubisoft). Games like Horizon that come out polished should be a wake up call for developers.
I always enjoy each installment to a degree. Syndicate was the best one in a couple of years imo. I just hope this one offers something new i wasnt a big fan of the naval combat in black flag. Perhaps i should try to give it another go? 😁
Really interested to see what direction this takes. When Assassin's Creed is good, it's awesome. Hopefully the extra year has made all the difference.
Any other time I'd be rolling my eyes but I'm playing Syndicate at the mo and it's very good so I'm quite looking forward to seeing this. Hopefully it has the two protagonists again.
Hopefully the extra year means it's more polished.
