The Sims 4 is coming to the PlayStation 4. Surprise! EA Games’ simulation will try to make virtual friends from 17th November, and it marks the first time the series will have appeared on Sony’s new-gen system.
The game first launched on the PC as far as back as 2014, so this has been a long time coming. You can check out the announcement trailer above – but it’s pretty standard The Sims fare.

The Sims is one of those few games that's played by people who couldn't give a damn about gaming in general. So many times I've told someone I write about video games and they'll reply with "oh, I play The Sims". It's nuts.
I have a friend who doesn't know the first thing about games — she couldn't possibly care less. But she spends hours sitting on her laptop running The Sims 3 at like 15 frames per second.
It seems crazy to me but this is the kind of reach The Sims has.
@ShogunRok Yeah my girlfriend got Sims 3 through Steam on my mac and played it for ages. I say ages, most of that time was spent waiting for the thing to load and work itself through various freezes and glitches. My Mac ain't so hot.
I've been wondering where a console port was. These games are better played on PC, but I don't mind having one on a console.
Will it have multiplayer on it like the Gamecube version of Sims 2?
I'm gonna give this an anagram of its own name... a MISS.
Absolutely crazy, I googled the other day about Sims 4 for console as I'm a massive fan and read so many articles stating it would never happen... 2 days later I read this! I can't wait... show me the Collectors Edition?!
Let's keep this a secret from my girlfriend...
Finally! Great to know, and great to hear that I'll be playing this (along with my wife) this holiday! Been waiting for this to finally appear, as I'm not into playing them on the MAC.
I can see the appearl and any title that brings more people into gaming the better but this isn't for me.
I barely handle my own life and family, so messing up a virtual family seems surplus to requirements.
