Tekken 7 is selling well, crossing the 1.66 million sales milestone roughly two months after its launch. Bandai Namco expects the brawler to sell 2.1 million copies by the end of the year, so it’s well on track. Speaking as part of an earnings call, the organisation noted that the majority of the title’s sales have come from North America and Europe, which has been reflected by various sales charts.
The good news is that the fighter isn’t just doing well commercially, as we were rather fond of it critically in our review: “In terms of gameplay, Tekken 7 is masterful,” we wrote. “Its overhauled rage system gives its already punchy combat a whole new dynamic, while helping to level the playing field for more casual players.”

Glad to hear, online matches have been pretty brutal. Gotta practice on those combos and parries.
Wow. Both this and ARMS really puts SFV into perspective.
Like...thats harsh.
Capcom has to learn his lesson here. Street V had EVERYTHING to be a huge hit. The HYPE was maximum when it was announced as a PS4 exclusive. Everybody was waiting for this game.
How could they screw it like that ? Honestly, even today, I don't understand.
Tekken was launched as a complete game (even if DLCs are coming), not a beta or early access "à la Street V".
Those are some pretty nice sales.
As for Street Fighter, Capcom should just bite the bullet and release a Super version of V. I know they promised they wouldn't but this time it would actually be justified.
Havent picked it up yet, but interested when Geese Howard arrives.
Of course it's doing well, after all Capcom didn't make this game.
Gratz to Bamco. Very good news.
Btw... i would like buy fighting game. Which you recommend? Im not pro but not beginner too
Cool to see fighting games selling well, there's hope!
@hubertuss03 Tekken 7 if you like 3D fighters more and SFV if you like 2D. I'd still pick SFV over everything we've seen this generation - it's very easy to pick up and actually teaches you how to be good if you want to invest time in it. It was very bread and bones when it launched but by now it offers more content than T7 to be honest. Guilty Gear Xrd is also a lot of fun but less populated...like a lot less.
@shonenjump86 - yeah, can be a pain to get a match going, thankfully most players are happy to have a fair few games once connected, spot on it is brutal indeed 😬
The game is superb online and the Tekken soul has been retained, especially momentum. Now for Pro Evo 2018 to pad out the sports quota!
@hubertuss03 I personally recommend Injustice 2.
