Keep digging that hole
Coming off the back of its release date announcement, it turns out that Metal Gear Survive is an online-only game. The information comes from the title's official website, which states: "An internet connection is required to play the game."
Just when you thought that hole couldn't get any deeper, eh? Next they'll be telling us it has microtransactions and loot boxes.

This might be interesting if it didn't smell of a cash grab by Konami. Personally I think they would have been better off with a MGSV follow on using the same engine and mechanics. This looks like they are pulling a Capcom with Umbrella corps,

GT5 and 6 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are all needed to be played should tie me over till this online only nonsense is over.
So much hate on Konami and this game before it releases. There are plenty of online only games on the PS4 which have done just fine. Personally I do not want a game to fail but thats just my attiude towards games and the staff who work on them.
I'm still wondering why is metal gear rising where is it going?
The real question is can it compete with Umbrella Corps?

This was the final straw, removing the game from my wishlist.
Online only sucks for people like me who rely solely on a 4g phone hotspot. I already don't play online games any more but thankfully my cell provider has a deal where I can stream TV services data free.
I can't wait for people who never planned to get the game anyway to get upset at this news.
Well there goes one sell from myself. As i do not buy online only games.
