UK developer Creative Assembly, best known for Alien Isolation and a wealth of strategy games, is hiring for what’s being described as the “biggest multiplatform project [the developer] has ever undertaken”. Word comes way of a “studio insider”, quoted by the reliable PCGamesN. Apparently, the game is a new intellectual property, so those hoping for more of Amanda Ripley should calm down now.
Job listings filed by the firm make reference to “economy, progression, retention methods, leaderboards, challenges, world building, and events”, suggesting that this could be some kind of service-based title – or perhaps even an MMO. Whatever the case, it sounds like a huge undertaking, with more to be revealed in the coming months.

Whoooooo service based games! Sounds like an amazing undertaking for a studio that created one of my top 5 survival-horror games of this generation!
How wonderful...
No more internet for me today.
Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans...
I'm gonna go have an anxiety attack now.
@Constable_What Haha, go eat some turkey dude! (Wish we got Thanksgiving dinner.)
@get2sammyb I'm full dog.I'm full I ate to much.happy thanksgiving everyone hahaha.word up son
At this rate we'll never get an Isolation followup. I'm a huge wuss when it comes to games with that style of suspenseful horror but Isolation is still one of the best games I've ever played. Desperate for a sequel right about now.
You lost me at "Service based game"
what will we do with the drunken sailor?
Open world, service based Alien game where you have to pay to drop lootboxes on the head of the Alien?
It's the LV 426 sim, including socialising, tricycle challenges and terraforming. Sans aliens.
@hadlee73 Isolation didn't do very well sadley. Loved it myself but I've given up in the prospect of a sequel.
@kyleforrester87 I think it sold a couple of million units across all platforms, pretty good for a survival horror game.
@Rudy_Manchego And damage dealt is randomised?
@Quintumply Possibly or it could be that damage dealt is based upon how much you have spent. So if you spend £1.50 you have a 30% chance of hurting the alien but if you spend £5 you get a 90% chance of hurting it.
@Rudy_Manchego How about a one-time purchase for £20 that eliminates any possibility of the alien showing up at all?
@Quintumply Ha brilliant - you just get to watch Ripley Junior, go home, have a cup of tea and get an early night.
@get2sammyb Thanks! I appreciate that.
Not the best way to announce a new ip.
