Developer DONTNOD has been pretty quiet on its latest game, Vampyr. The murky, moralistic action game looks fairly promising, but there hasn't been a lot of buzz around it of late. That seems to be changing, however, as publisher Focus Home Interactive has just uploaded a teaser for a new webseries, entitled DONTNOD Presents Vampyr.
This four-part series will delve into the development of the game, as well as show off new footage of the game ahead of its release this spring. The first episode will drop next week, on 18th January. Here's the official blurb:
In the first episode, Making Monsters, DONTNOD delves into their signature identity and reasons behind putting players into the role of a conflicted predator. The studio will make players feel the duality that torments doctor-turned-vampire Jonathan Reid, giving them the freedom to choose who to sacrifice and who to save. Every killing has consequences, and it’s up to players to balance their need to feed and grow stronger, with the rapidly deteriorating city of London.
We're glad that the marketing push for this game has begun, as it has remained shrouded in darkness for too long. These videos will hopefully give us a better understanding of this gloomy game.

Very keen to see and play this game, glad to see some marketing getting underway too.
This is one of my most anticipated games of the year. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
Looking forward to this. I'd imagine it's getting closer to release if they're launching this web series.
I'm not really into the whole vampire thing but if DONTNOD made another sci-fi game, I'd be down for that.
I'm still interested in this, despite the delay and lack of news.
Can't wait for this one. I love games that explore the morality and consequences of the player's decisions and actions.
Bioware was the king of these types of character driven games with Mass Effect, KoTOR, and Dragon Age, but I personally feel their writing had dropped in quality ever since Drew Karpyshyn left after ME2. Though apparently, he's writing for Anthem, so maybe the king isn't dead yet.
Looking forward to watching first episode
@RogerRoger yeah i kinda feel the same way. Hopefully it turns out well. Id rather have gotten another life is strage -ISH type of game.
On my watch for list for sure. Who doesn't loved DONTNOD?
