Jurassic World Evolution Stomps to PS4 in June

Retail release roaring into stores later

Frontier’s dinosaur-themed park building sim Jurassic World Evolution will make your glass of water ripple from 12th June on the PlayStation 4 – but only digitally to begin with. Those hoping to purchase a retail copy will need to hide in the outdoor toilet cubicles until 3rd July, which is a bit odd but we’re sure there’s a perfectly good reason for it.

Pre-orders will come with five bonus dinosaurs, which you’ll be able to use as attractions in your own Jurassic Park. The game will also see you developing new dinosaur breeds and, much like the movies, dealing with threats when they inevitably escape their enclosures. Oh and it’s got Jeff Goldblum in it, which should make it an instant hit.

Well my birthday is 3rd of July so it's nice of them to hold back the physical release for me. I've watched a video of this game and it's looking pretty good actually, I tend to like these types of games anyway and I'm just hoping you can let the dinosaurs cause a bit of chaos too.

This is looking way more interesting than I was initially expecting. Not sure yet whether I'd want to keep the people in my park safe and happy by focusing on better fences, or whether I'll go sadistic and leave the gate to the T-Rex enclosure unlocked.

Watching the gameplay videos of this it totally reminds me of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis on ps2... Not that I'm complaining because I absolutely adored that game... This will be an instant purchase from me

Watching the embedded video reminds me of the time I used to watch my friend play Operation Genesis on his old as hell PC that ran the game fine, but struggled to run StarCraft.

I usually don’t spend much time with sim games. They’re alright, but I’d rather use my gametime on more action-y things. But this looks strangely enticing. Maybe it’s the dinosaurs.
