Photography-themed role-playing game The Good Life is currently seeking funds on Kickstarter, and developer White Owls has released a tech demo video showing off the open world English backdrop, Rainy Woods. This is obviously still early stuff as the project is yet to enter full production, but it looks appropriately quaint, and honestly it’s refreshing to see that progress on the title has already been made.
The game, which is being helmed by Deadly Premonition director Hidetaka ‘SWERY’ Suehiro, has currently amassed around $200,000 of its $640,000 target, so it’s off to a good start but still has a long way to go.

Wow, this actually looks really good (minus the generic skybox). I was quite turned off by the original fig campaign footage but i would absolutely play it if it looked like this
I backed since it wasn't done through fig.
VYVYAN: NO!! No! We're not watching the bloody Good Life!! Bloody bloody bloody!! I hate it!! It's so bloody nice! Felicity 'Treacle' Kendall and Richard 'Sugar-Flavored-Snot' Briars!! What do they do now?! Chocolate bloody Button ads, that's what!! They're just a couple of reactionary stereotypes, confirming the myth that everyone in Britain is a lovable, middle-class eccentric - and I - HATE - THEM!!
Thanks for reminder to re-watch The Young Ones.
Dammit, I miss Rik Mayall.
