If this Assassin’s Creed Odyssey trailer had dropped without the various leaks earlier this week, it’d probably have had a bigger impact. As it is, here’s about three seconds of Ubisoft’s latest, with a promise of more at E3 2018.
The title’s set in Ancient Greece and will apparently feature dialogue options for the first time in the franchise. You can find out when and where to watch Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference through the link.

Another Walmart Canada game confirmed to be shown for E3. FF7 Remake and Borderlands 3, say you love me.
@Kidfried @Tops Me, three. Origins is gathering dust in my backlog. Need to get on with that.
I will just leave this here

I just hope the series doesn't get stagnant again.
Lame
Now I await Super Mario Origins.
@playstation1995 I just happen to be playing through that series right now! I'm doing it for the first time and in chronological order too. I finished Ascension, Chains of Olympus, I, Ghost of Sparta, and II, and I'm on III Remastered now. I gotta say, the ending of God of War II got me SUPER hyped for God of War III.
That is one ultra powerful kick.
Don't any of you hate the fact most of this year's announcements have been leaked, what's the point in going to E3 when there are (most likely leaked deliberately) I mean I love it when I watch E3 or PSE and they show something that's not expected like FF7 Remake (which I have lost interest in) God of War, Last of Us Part 2 trailer etc
@Nakatomi_Uk Yeah I agree. Sometimes I try to remember if any of the recently relased or about to release games haven't leaked in some way and I just can't find one. It takes away a part of the fun waiting for e3, psx etc.
Cool - another game to add to my wanted list!! AC: Origins was superb, in my top 2/3 games of last year and, if it releases at the end of this year, the only 'true' competition to Red Dead Redemption 2 - at least so far.
I thought they were going bi-annual with this now?
Origins does look pretty good to be fair but why the rush?
Didn't Ubisoft learn their lesson with Origins, that having a game every two years makes for a better game than rush releasing each year?
Oh, $$$. I forgot.
@tomassi
I don't necessarily feel that releasing annually affects the quality to a huge degree, for me, the issue is one of over exposure.
I love Assassins Creed, probably more than most, having played each release to completion and picking up a few platinum trophies along the way but honestly, I feel like I got my creed fix after the plat on Origins, these games are a huge time commitment. I would be more than happy to find that the next instalment wasn't due for another year or so, just to build some anticipation.
I wonder if this means Ubisoft are scaling back on support for the Watch Dogs franchise?
@hadlee73 Same here. Just hope I don't get annoyed if they make any changes.
The one which always gets my goat is the change from Heracles to Hercules.
@MrGawain hope so. I have a real beef with those games lol
@stueyd67 I was actually just thinking about Heracles/Hercules last night. God of War 3 does that too, and it's kind of annoying.
Yay a return to yearly updates
If it takes less than ten years to finish it, I will sue them for false adevertisment!
I can't wait to capture enemies with my hood.
As much as I loved Origins - and my 130+ hours on it is testament to that - I can't help feel that Odyssey is going to be too similar/more of the same. Hopefully Ubisoft will prove me wrong.
Was taking my time with Origins cause I thought there wasn't going to be one this year.
Back to churning out the same game every year already. That didn’t take long.
I'm looking forward to these dialogue trees.
-"Do you actually care about the Animus bits?"
-"Yes"
-"No"
It’s time to jump up in the air 🎼
@TheTetrisGuy “assassinate and don’t be scared” 🎤
So they'll probably be releasing it barely a year after Origins, so Ubisoft missed the point again.
Hmm, need to start origins.
Does this mean no more Watch Dogs? Kind of hoping of watch dogs 3 or even prince of persia instead of assassins creed.
This is great news, according to how everyone I know keeps on raving about Origins.
I look forward to playing as soon as they remaster AC3 on PS4, still playing the Ezio Trilogy.
