Developer First Contact Entertainment has announced that its tactical PlayStation VR shooter Firewall Zero Hour will release on 28th August, alongside a slew of pre-order exclusives and a bundle that packs in the PlayStation VR Aim Controller.
Pitched as a 4v4 tactical team-based shooter, you'll work together to either attack or defend set points on maps or high value targets across nine different locations. Take a look at it in action in the new gameplay trailer below:
Despite not actually attaching a price to the game, the blog post goes on to detail pre-order incentives and a PSVR Aim Controller bundle which packages a physical copy of the game and the peripheral itself. Another point worth highlighting is that Firewall Zero Hour is an online-only game. "An internet connection is required for all modes of Firewall Zero Hour, including Single Player Training Mode."

Well, I was until I read that it's 100% online only. I understand the 4V4 aspect but why does the single player part require this?
It's a little worrying considering the relatively small install base for VR. What happens if the servers are shut down in 18 months or so?
Also the lack of single player content is something that puts me off massively too. I know it's a 4v4 game but it just makes me feel like half the game is missing. Im fine with single player only games but for me online should supplement a single player experience of some kind.
A shame really, it does look cool. Maybe I'll pick it when it's under £15 but not before.
Can't wait me!!! Not seen it anywhere online definitely pre ordering though.
I've been waiting for this. Looks like August won't be so terrible this year.
@Dange haha, I was literally about to post the exact same thing.
Thanks for the article and information contained within. My headset has been gathering dust due to the sub-par range of games available for it. I'm hoping that FW will buck that (personal view) trend.
