Devil May Cry 5 will be in playable demo form at Gamescom 2018, and lead game designer Hideaki Itsuno has confirmed that the demo build is finished and ready to rock ahead of the European convention.
"Demo version for Gamescom 2018 is completed! 10 days to the world's first playable!" Itsuno wrote on Twitter earlier today.
Devil May Cry 5 will apparently have a large presence at the event, so expect plenty of news and details to come pouring out of the show later this month. Gamescom 2018 begins on the 21st August, by the way. It'll be open to the public from the 22nd.

I hope after gamescon they make it available online for people to play. I would LOVE that.
i really am looking forward to seeing some gameplay of this, it's one of my most anticipated games of next year
Cant wait.this game will be a masterpiece.word up son
Are we expecting good things from this?
On the one hand, DmC 1 and 3, otoh, the other ones.
The time has come and so have I
@rjejr DMC 3 my favorite one of the series. But i know its a game ill never Platinum. 😋
@rjejr The only actually bad one was 2. 4 was great, but suffered from a rushed development and tons of cut content in the second half while the reboot (at least on PS4) is decent on it's own merits, but the awful PR gave it an unavoidable stink, and the less said about the story the better.
@Orpheus79V The only actual bad one was 2, but from the rest of your comment the only actual good ones are 1 and 3. 😆
I can't contain my hype enough, so excited to see the gameplay.
@AllTheReddist Second the public demo request.
@rjejr Not exactly sure how you got that impression honestly. A game having cut content doesn't make it bad, 4's combat is great, with Dante having more versatility compared to 3 in particular, mostly making up for his level design just being backtracking. None of the negatives I said for DmC were about it's gameplay, which is quite decent (based on PS4, PS3 version was a let down admittedly), though it feels very different to previous entries, but still very solid compared to others in it's genre.
They're 7 or 8/10 games compared to the 10/10's that are 1 and 3 imo, but I guess that makes them bad.
@Orpheus79V
good indifferent bad
good ok bad
good middling bad
I don't live in an either or world. If I did then all my game reviews would either be 0 or 1, 1 for good, 0 for bad. I never said any of those games were bad. Bad is bad, I just said there were only 2 good ones. Good to me being probably an 8, 9 or 10 out of 10. Bad would be a 0, 1, 2 or 3. That leaves 4, 5, 6 and 7 for neither bad nor good. So for me even if the rest were all 7's I wouldn't call them good.
DmC 1 and 3 are good, the rest are probably in the 4-7 range, I doubt any of them would be in the 0-3 range, so I wouldn't say they're bad, and I never did.
