Attention, soldiers! EA has just announced that its open beta test for Battlefield V is now live in all regions.
You'll be able to play from today, tackling the new Rotterdam map in Conquest mode, and Arctic Fjord on both Conquest and Grand Operations. No clear ending time or date has been provided, but we're sure it'll continue on through the weekend.
The open beta could be particularly enticing for fans, seeing as the wait for the game has been prolonged due to a delay to November. It'll be interesting to see if the beta can kick up some enthusiasm, as there seems to be a lack of interest -- unusual for a shooter of this size.
Anyway, will you be playing Battlefield V's open beta on PS4? Fire away with your comments below.

I consider myself a big Battlefield fan, have done since Bad Company but after playing the open beta I think this will be the first BF I’m skipping, for a few reasons.
1) I feel burnt out after playing so much of BF1.
2) The respawning is awful, when your shot you go into a downed state and you’ve constantly got to told the left trigger to die out quicker (there’s even an 8 second delay AFTER dying out before you can respawn) or hold the right trigger to call out for someone to revive you... no, like every other BF I’d rather be killed off right away then there be a delay before you can respawn or be revived during the delay. I usually like to just skip to the map right away and plan my next respawn point if no one is around to revive me and from what I’ve played of the beta everybody just runs pass and ignores you anyway.
3) There is just better and more fun games coming out around the time this releases, I’m already getting RDR2 and Hitman 2 but now I’m skipping this I’ll be getting Just Cause 4 instead. I would of opted for Fallout 76 if it wasn’t for the always online.
4) When I pre-ordered BF1 I got the most expensive digital edition, it was over £100 and then not even a year after it released it was at least half price, maybe even less I can’t remember but I felt stupid and ripped off so I’ll be learning my lesson this time even though the most expensive edition is cheaper this time at £79.99.
Despite those reasons I still think it’s great, the destruction, weapons, vehicles, graphics are all better than BF1, there’s new game modes to try and more maps to play. I would still buy it if I wasn’t limited to buying 3 games this year, so I’ll be renting this and will buy it when/if it’s half price in a sale sometime next year.
@MaccaMUFC I'm hating the respawn in this beta.. It just takes too much time! It woukd be better if the respawn timer counted down whilst you were in the downed state... To wait for someone to hopefully revive you then if not wait again to respawn is a pain! I'm still enjoying the game though hopefully they cut the downed time a little bit before release.
Can't wait to try it out later! Definitely looks like "more of the same," but all I ever wanted from Battlefield is the destruction to come back (i.e. Bad Company 2)...hopefully I'm not disappointed!
Another great battlefiled experience. However I do not like the lighting within the game so will want to see the finished product before I commit to purchase.
@MaccaMUFC
The reduction in price could be said for pretty much every game released. Its just within the last few years that the price drops happens more raipidly sometimes within a few months.
I'll certainly try it, as I really liked Battlefield 1, especially at €15 for the complete edition.
