It's time to get yourself prepared for your next mission, agent. IO Interactive's follow-up to the excellent assassination sandbox Hitman has just gone gold, meaning the code is complete. Hitman 2 is almost ready for its release on 13th November.
Currently, we only know of two confirmed locations for the sequel. The game was revealed alongside its Miami-based mission where you must eliminate a racing driver (which we've played), and we were recently treated to a little more detail on the Colombia mission via a new gameplay trailer. Whether the full game's globetrotting campaign will rival the first season's variety, we'll have to wait and see, but IO will probably show a little more off before launch.

wow this game has gone gold before Rockstar announce RDR 2 has gone gold
Games seem to be going gold earlier and earlier before their release date these days...and day one patches are getting bigger & bigger. Coincidence, or me being cynical?
@Nightcrawler71 more like the truth, we don't know what state the game will be when they press the disc they just rush the games to release and patch later majority of the time these days.
Loved Hitman: Blood Money, didn't play any of the games before or after (except for a few hours of Absolution and Silent Assassin). I would play the newest Hitman game but I spoiled myself on the missions while waiting for the game to be completed. The episodic style really didn't work for this franchise imo, so I'm glad they're going back to the full game all at once again. I might actually pick it up because of that.
@Nightcrawler71
As someone pointed out on Reddit, the number of days between it going gold and it releasing is...47.
Great news for the Hitman fans. I keep meaning to play this series but never get around to it, despite owning all games.
