While many of us in Europe were sleeping, Sony and Insomniac Games hosted a live stream event last night leading up to the midnight launch of Marvel's Spider-Man. As you can imagine, it featured some gameplay footage and lots of chatter about the game's development, but we also got to see some interesting new tidbits towards the end.

Firstly, a brand new suit for Spider-Man was unveiled, as you can see above. It's one of the suits you'll be able to unlock in the game's first DLC chapter, The Heist. In the stream, there's a bit of footage of the suit in-game, so it's worth checking out if you're interested (time stamp: about 1:25:40).

Secondly, right near the end of the stream, we get to see some very early footage of the game in its prototype stage. It's always interesting to see the way games are made and how they evolve over the course of development, and it's clear that Insomniac was heading in the right direction from an early stage. You can see the footage from around 1:42:45.
