Mine came yesterday, played around 3 hours, the web swinging is a blast

Never been a comic book fan to begin with.

Thats the problem with licensed games really. They not only have to be good but escape the confines of needing to care about the license in the first place.

Thats my view anyway. Still game looks fun, just not my cup of tea.

Hope it sells well though. It would be nice to see a GOOD tie in game.

It will have to wait, I've bought too many fresh releases recently and on pre-order: Nascar Heat 3, V-Rally 4, Dakar 18, and Ride 3. That makes me set for the rest of the year (and more), plus a few Indie games. Spider-Man is on my list of 'must haves', but I need to prioritize my favourite genres and franchises.

Downloaded it on a whim last night and have played for about 2 hours today whilst pretending to work from home. So far really enjoying it- graphics are amazing on Pro, web slinging is a blast, fighting is button-mashing fun. Doubt it will be the deepest experience ever but I'm glad I bought it.

Dragon Quest XI is getting most of my attention at the moment, although I'm really looking forward to playing Spider-Man in the not-too-distant future.

I just bought a copy from Target's website a couple hours ago. Had a $20 gift card too which was nice!

My brother is getting it so I can just borrow it. I am planning on buying the complete version of the game with all dlc if something like that releases next year.

Already bought it. The game is really good, but as I mentioned in the forums, there's no option to change the language. It's always the PS4 language. Be prepared to that if you buy it in non-english speaking countries. I wish I knew that, I probably wouldn't buy Spidey until they patched this.

I'll be buying it today, most likely. I just hope the puddles don't disappoint me.

@RenanKJ there are a lot of games that do that that were never patched! The reason that I have my PS4 in english is because overwatch and Fortnite do that

The amount of trailers put me off of this for a while. Seemed over-hyped to the point I lost interest.

Arrived yesterday but only started playing it today - I'm even taking a week's break from the excellent Horizon Zero Dawn to play through Spider-Man, that's how excited I've been about its release, and so far it's not disappointed at all - so much fun webslinging endlessly!

It arrived today but as my brothers birthday is on Sunday it will go there first. It will be quite long time till I finally get to play it .

Yes, but not straight away. With enough excellent games already in my backlog as well as lots of other marvellous games out there that I've not bought yet, I'm in no hurry to buy this.

Finding the time to play all of the games that I want to play is tough.

My pre-order from Game Collection came Thursday so I'm at 20% completion. Loving it, I was a bit naff at both the fighting and the swinging at first but it's great once I got the hang of it.

Would have been really tempted to get this Day 1 if it was a complete game at release like GoW and DWXI and I got the Prime 20% discount like I did with both of those but I really just can't see the point in getting this knowing there are 3 DLC story missions releasing over the next few months.

H:ZD Complete was just on sale for $11.99 on PSN 18 months after release of the $60 base game, I can wait another 18 months to download this complete for $12. Or get the better performing game around then on PS5. (I have spring 2020 for PS5)

Got the game without dlc. Not tpuchrd it thou buy will probably play it on sunday and off for a few days next week. Yay

I preordered this a while back and have been playing for the last hour.Really enjoying it and the swinging is awesome...only downside is you can't swing from the sky.

My copy has arrived yesterday, what a good surprise it was. The game is awesome, the gameplay is a blast, NY is so alive with so many details and I can’t stop playing with the photo mode.
Without spoilers, there are so many surprises and appearances on the beginning.
Can’t wait for my next playthrough.

Had it pre-ordered. Played for about 6-8 straight hours last night doing almost nothing but side missions and activities. Loving the gameplay, especially the web-slinging, they nailed that part, and the team's version of NY is awesome. Can't wait to get home from work later and start playing some more. Looking forward to seeing how the story plays out once I get going with it.

I'm not the biggest Spider-Man fan and I'm too busy with other games at the moment, so I'm not really interested. Maybe at some point down the line, but not any time soon.

I want to, but I just bought DQXI and I'm finishing some Yakuza games. If I can make it through today I'll be able get it on sale later...

@playstation1995 Oh absolutely, I visited NY in 2013 and the city is awesome, I meant that the game portrays the city pretty well, with many details and events happening. It’s really cool to see the reaction of the citizens when they see Spidey.

Played around 7 hours today. Web swinging is a lot of fun. I recommend unlocking the web tricks early on. It's great fun pulling tricks off mid-air and gaining XP while doing so.

If you're waiting for this game to come down in price, Cex give £36 for Spider-Man. Best to buy now and complete it in a week. It will have only cost you £10. Waiting for the game to come down in price then trading it in could mean you only get half of your money back or less.

Defo will be getting this but down the line. Recently played arkham knight, i like to leave a gap between games of a similar genre so i dont get fed up. I will leave it until after red dead 2.

I like the movies, but I've never been into super-hero games. In fact, in 40 years of gaming, I don't recall ever buying one.

I may pick this up, but if I do, it'll be much further down the line... maybe even wait until it hits Plus.

Maybe will get in a couple of years when it's about £12.99 on the PSN store . Working on a cracking backlog and feel no need to buy any game for full price.
Haven't bought a new release in 2018 that may well change with Red Dead Redemption 2. I only just finished PS3 red dead last year !

I'm from ny as well and I gotta say while it's not exactly ny, they did a damn good job trying to portray it and I'm only 2 hours in! Great game. Well done insomniac! Now give us another ratchet and clank and I'm all set

No its not.. but its received tons of 8s. Makes me hesitate to spend £65 on it.

Yeah, I'll get it. Love me some superhero stuff and thoroughly enjoyed 2nd Son. But I'll wait for a good sale. It's rare that I'm willing to pay 70 Euro or more for a game on launch, so I have no problem to wait a couple of month.

Looks like a solid game, but I personally don't have much interest in super hero media.

@beemo Ikr, SOTR looks awesome. The setting seems like classic Tomb Raider, but with the modern features and graphics.

When it's about £10-15. It really doesn't hype me up. I got bored of open world sandbox icon hunters years ago, and the combat looks like spongey, 2000s type crap which is going to go back to alternative like DS and BB.
