Concrete Genie is probably the lowest profile exclusive in the PlayStation 4’s portfolio, but every time teeny developer PixelOpus shows it off, we’re impressed by it. A mixture of puzzle and artsy entertainment, the title effectively allows you to create magical graffiti, giving you the tools to make a masterpiece on any wall.
There’s more to this game, though, as it’s ultimately about bullying and escaping your problems. It’s still a few months away, but on the PlayStation Blog the platform holder has confirmed that it’s targeting a Spring 2019 release date for the imaginative outing. More news will be shared over the coming weeks and months, so watch this space.

Can't wait for this one.
I am looking forward to seeing more about this. Hope Sony gives it a good push.
So this likely means Dreams will be late 2019 at the earliest because it’s a similar vibe.
@Th3solution im still hopefull for a May release (the detroit slot). I think it would be killed in the xmas rush
@Rob_230 Yes, both Concrete Genie and Dreams appear to be beautiful creative games that will appeal to the critics and the hardcore, but may not sell well unless they get a massive promotional push from Sony or a very tactical release date.
@Th3solution absolutely agree. I am also concerned that with every week we move closer to ps5 release date. When that comes out it could kill the community
@Rob_230 It won't, PS5 will play all PS4 games anyway.
@Rob_230 That’s a good point and a valid concern if it’s not cross-gen. Making PS5 backward compatible may save some of that though.
At least Concrete Genie appears to be more of a isolated narrative driven experience I think. It will whet our appetite to the creative potential of video games and it won’t have to rely on community support.
Edit: Sammy beat me to it.
Oh gosh, I just saw the article on Days Gone’s delay (I’m slow getting caught up on the site’s news) so now Sony appears to have two big exclusives that will come out back to back. I guess it won’t be any different than GoW and Detroit that released next to each other this year and neither seemed to have suffered.
@rjejr Well, ok, this definitely confirms no Ghost before E3.
@Rob_230 If they still plan on doing a beta this year, the actual release for Dreams can't be too far off, right? I was thinking Q1 2019, but with the delay of Days Gone and Concrete Genie, I'm not sure what to think anymore.
Rarely day one for things but I love how this looks. Wish I had a pro and hdr tv!!
@Octane But does it mean Days Gone has to get delayed again until summer so it's not too close to Concrete Genie? 😎
Just saw Golf VR is Spring 2019 as well, DG doesn't stand a chance. 🤣
It looks stunning and could offer a very interesting experience.
It looks really cool and impressive, can’t forget they are a new studio and it’s only their second game.
Oooh could get this for my birthday if it lands in March!
