Marvel's Spider-Man is getting a New Game Plus mode -- this is something that we've known for a while. Before the blockbuster had even released, developer Insomniac Games stated that New Game Plus would be added in a post-launch update, and now it sounds like that update is very close.
In an interview with Game Informer, creative director Bryan Intihar says that it's coming "soon, really, really soon". The game's first expansion, titled The Heist, is due out next week on the 23rd October, so you can probably expect the New Game Plus update to drop either before then, or at the same time.

I think I'll wait for the inevitable Complete Edition of this game.
I just got the platinum this weekend and I have several other games demanding my attention, so much like God of War new game plus is on the backburner. Will definitely revisit later though!
Hopefully this brings the Ultimate difficulty with it.
@DLB3 People shouldn't really expect lenthy campaigns with the DLC, there probably going to be comparable to Batman Arkham Knight's Seasons of Infamy. No more then a couple of hours for each pack.
I was honestly surprised they didn't have it from the beginning. They typically have new game plus in their games.
New game plus is great, but it's also very aggravating to me because frankly I just want the option to replay any mission I want. This isn't like God of War where it's one continuous journey. It's mission based.
@DLB3 It could just be he doesn't want to give anything away. Personally I don't think a game's length should dictate whether it's worth people's time.
Woohoo, I'm quite excited to play it again just straight through the main story which is great. Already played for the DLC as I loved the main game and can't wait for an excuse to swing back in
Got the Platinum 3 weeks ago and I'm still swinging around, if they drop new suits into New Game + I'll be on it like a tramp on chips
dlc is a cert it was meant to be in the original game and they removed it. Finally got the platinum and im happy to let this one pass.
A new game plus is a excellent addition also but there are way too many new games to be interested in new game plus or additional dlc (which i think was meant to be there from the start.)
I'm not sure what a New Game + adds to Spiderman. Most of the time they are useful for making different decisions or for playing with a different build of character/skills but there are no choices to be made in the game and it's so generous with it's XP that I was able to unlock all attributes in the skill tree. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game but I can't see what a New Game + offers that just starting the campaign fresh wouldn't.
That’s great news, can’t wait for the dlcs too.
Will get the GotY/Complete edition!
Yeah RDR2 also coming super soon. Too late now.
After I platinum it (and finish the season pass) maybe I'll play it again on new game+
Funny how all developers now wait to implement New Game +. Like c'mon they been doing this since PSone days. Idk about you guys but my deciding factor for buying a game isn't whether or not it has New Game +.
@Rash why is it to late?
@RedMan33 Too late for ng+ cause I'll be on the RDR2 train.
@Rash so it's to late for you, you mean
@SonuvLiberty I feel like New game + is the most overrated thing in videogames actually! Some games I can't even finish once, let alone twice...
Also most games have pretty weak new game + with nothing new or worth the time
I always say I want NG+ but finding the time to actually use it is another story.
Yeah we all like the idea of New Game Plus if Spider-Man was the only game we'd play for the entire year. I like premium adventure in the Yakuza games because it is a good means of leveling up and getting to all the bits you missed before.
I'm almost done the game now. It's amazing. I'll most likely be making the jump to a 4K HDR television this holiday season so the new game plus might be started when I get that. Can't wait to see how these games look with higher brightness, HDR, and 4K!
@RainbowGazelle @Turismo4GT Oh I definitely expect there to be a Complete/GOTY re-release with all DLC.
However, I don't regret spending the $400 I paid for the Spider-Man Pro bundle which came with both physical game and Season Pass.
