Obsidian Entertainment, one of Microsoft’s new acquisitions, is scheduled to make an RPG announcement at The Game Awards 2018 – and there’s a strong possibility the title will still launch on the PlayStation 4. Despite the Fallout: New Vegas developer batting for the team in green these days, it seems this particular title will be published by Private Division – a subsidiary of Take-Two.
There’s no other information to go on, aside from a countdown message on the studio’s official website. We’re sure that resident hype man – and The Game Awards host – Geoff Keighley will share plenty more over the coming the days, but in the meantime, chalk this down as one of the ten major reveals that will debut during the show.

Wow, this is near for us. It looks like it’ll be a while before MS gets and exclusive form them.
Glad to see we might get one final Obsidian game on PS4 (other than PoE2 of course). I expect it to show up on Playstation anyway, due to this suggesting its been in production before the MS purchase.
syphon filter.metal slugs and parasites Eve 4 confirmed😱. word up son
My bet is on a King of the Hill musou game.
@nessisonett you know iam still suprised that their hasn't been a musou game based on final fantasy yet
@Areus That would be great but I’d rather sell propane and propane accessories.
Man what could have been if bethesda buy them and give them full support to make fallout 5 rather than screw them out of their bonus for fallout las vegas
I hope it's a spiritual successor to New Vegas. Good world-building, atmosphere, and quests without the Bethesda jank.
@Jaz007
Yup. It's going to be a while before MS benefits from any of these teams. This is what lazily just throwing money at third parties for 'exclusives' gets you. It's good that MS is finally proactive and may have even saved some of these studios from going under, just a shame it took three gens for it to start thinking about building a strong first party stable. I guess as they say, though, better late than never.
@Kidfried Here's at least one Xbox/PC exclusive
@Kidfried Aren't we all?
Nice to hear.
I guess the exclusivity will only start when next gen has already released.
@Gamer83 What else can they do?
@Jaz007 "gets an exclusive from them"? they bought the company. if microsoft wanted to, they could make this an exclusive.
If it's a Xbox exclusive that will be a bummer. But if it is a great game I will for sure buy a Xbox
@manu0 I don't think they can if there's a contract between Obsidian and Private Division before the acquisition to put it on multiple systems. Obsidian would have to fulfill their part of the bargain in a binding contract they made before being acquired, as with the situation with We Happy Few and Minecraft. That said if the game was never meant to be on the PS to begin with then that’s how it goes.
bring on the game awards!
Kotor 3 confirmed? Yea, im my dreams.
