If you're not familiar with Nicalis, it's a game developer and publisher that focuses on smaller projects. Games in its portfolio include Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, and Redout, among plenty of others. Yesterday, the company announced a trio of its games will be making their way to PS4 next year, and you can see a snippet of each of them in the video above.
The End Is Nigh is a tough 2D platformer from Ed McMillen, the creator of Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac. It's the end of the world, and you play as a black blob named Ash who's journeying through the ruins to find a friend.
Next up is Dungreed, a procedurally generated dungeon crawler. It looks like a fairly typical rogue-lite action game, with random levels and item drops, slash and dodge combat, and pixelated graphics.
Finally, the trailer shows Crystal Crisis, which looks like a lot like Puzzle Fighter. Gameplay revolves around a match-three style puzzle board, but clearing blocks will initiate attacks with lots of guest characters from other Nicalis titles. This is the only game with a full release date: 23rd April 2019.
What do you make of this trio of indie titles coming to PS4 in 2019? Will you be playing any of these next year? Get indie bin in the comments below.

Wait I minute. I just remembered that thing Greg Miller was going to do instead of PSX, that event focused on indie games. Did it already happen? Was this part of it?

@Kidfried @roe I think we're going to do it yeah.
End is Nigh is a really enjoyable game, especially if a person liked Super Meat Boy.
Three to be avoided for me.
As a huge isaac fan I'll certainly check these out.
Good job I read the article before posting here about how much of a Super Meat Boy rip off The End Is Nigh looks! Was just about to spew some right old vitriol...
Finally! The End is Nigh came out on Switch ages ago, and I've been waiting for a PS4 version (my preferred platform) since then!
I hope they announce The Messenger soon too.
