It's safe to say that ANTHEM is running much better than it did during its VIP demo and open beta phases, but the final product still isn't quite up to snuff. To combat that, update 1.03 has just been released on PlayStation 4 and it promises to provide general fixes and improve stability across the experience.
Weighing in at just under 11GB, you'll need to set aside a good 20 to 30 minutes before you start suiting up in your Javelin again, but thankfully there's no copying to be done this time around. Patch notes on the console simply read "General fixes and stability improvements", so if BioWare decides to go in-depth on its blog later on in the day, we'll update this article with what exactly has been changed.
Update:
Patch 1.03 makes the following changes:
- The final boss in the “Return to the Heart of Rage” stronghold and crit path mission will now properly appear if a squad of freelancers wipe before reaching it.
- HDR on consoles can now be properly turned on.
- Fixed a number of issues that were causing players to crash.
How has your ANTHEM experience been going? Encountered any crashes or bugs? Fly into the comments below.

BioWare should have a word with Sony, they know a thing or two about stability updates.
Hopefully this stops the crashing I've just ran into...
@ShogunRok I haven't had the crashes but those load times...
@Splat There's a character in the fort that I currently can't talk to because the game just straight up crashes halfway through the conversation. Every time. It's crazy.
@ShogunRok That's awful. I'm not that far in myself.
@ShogunRok I had that with Rythe. I left it for a few missions and when I came back to her it worked fine. Pain in the backside though.
I feel BioWare wanted to release the game later, but EA wanted the release to be within this fiscal(?) year or something.
What about the HDR? It's currently disabled.
Haven't had as single issue since the 22nd, keep up the good work in patching!
This game is torture. It ****ing sucks so bad. There are hardly any redeemable gameplay features and everything is infuriating and frustrating. I'm really glad I only rented it, but even the $7 I spent feels like a waste.
What a garbage game.
11GB of space to patch what should have been fixed in the first place, so many years for this game and I just can't believe how many bugs it's got or had
Ha break they broke it more.
I can no longer log in keep getting

My account seems fine, no emails. Seems almost of people on EA help page has the same problem. Only been able to play an hour of the game so far. Well done EA.
All good for me so far.
So much better than the demos.
Really liking what I've played so far, running smooth and bug free.
Not tried the hdr since the patch, will check it out tomorrow. Looks pretty sweet already though to be honest.
Been watching a friend play it, I took notes of bugs and within 3 hours of gameplay we encountered 5 minor bugs (characters glitching out, warping, disappearing) and 2 gamebreaking bugs like someone before mentioned, when talking to certain NPCs the game just crashes. But it doesn't happen all the time and not with always the same NPCs.
I don't buy the really big evil corp games anymore for quite a while now. Glad I didn't waver on this one.
I hope it works out for everyone who bought it. 😃
Just Platinumed Horizon Zero Dawn 110 plus hours i loved the game so much only need to finish the DLC but i need a break now. For me its the game of this generation. 😁
