ANTHEM's been running pretty smoothly since it launched last week on PS4. Barring the odd disconnect, there have been no major server outages as far as we're aware -- until now, that is. According to the game's official Twitter account, all servers are currently down for "emergency maintenance". Sounds rough, doesn't it?
The timing's especially bad though, given that the open beta for The Division 2 went live earlier today, or yesterday, depending on your timezone. It's going to be interesting to see how ANTHEM handles the launch Ubisoft's looter shooter later this month.
Anyway, we imagine that ANTHEM won't be down too much longer, but feel free to vent your frustration in the comments section below.
Update: Thankfully, ANTHEM appears to be back up and running now. Phew.

Ubi hacked them.
This game just gets better and better.
So...... what do you do? Lol
Ya know a website is starving for clicks when it starts reporting **** like this. This is the type of stuff that drives me away as a fan.
@Dreamcaster-X Yeah, starving for clicks by writing stories about a currently popular game that's having issues. That's the definition of desperate.
And watch the language please.
After this and Andromeda, the pressure is really on for DA4 to succeed.
@Neolit Anyone that is interested in Anthem would already know the servers were down by trying to play the game, dreamcaster is right about the many people out there who are using any bad news about anthem to get views, not saying pushsquare is one of them but youtube channels make a living off drama like this.
@ShogunRok
A bit of topic here, but why isn't there any hype for the Destination PlayStation thing. It looks like it's going to be interesting.
Must be that deluge of players. Ooooioooh too soon.
Destiny invaded it during a gambit match
Emergency maintenance means severe bug that couldn’t wait....
maybe they found a something that was actually fun and have decided to patch it out?
@JJ2 It's a good question, but it's hard to make anything of the event because it's not consumer-focused. It's all behind-closed-doors product showcases for Sony's marketing partners.
That's not to say it's uninteresting, but it does mean that we have to wait and see what actually comes out of it. Maybe we'll get some juicy info, maybe we won't. I'd say keep an eye out this coming week, just in case.
@ShogunRok
Thanks for reply.
I just saw a pic showing the 4 big ps exclusives being put forward so I imagine maybe trailers and release dates is a fair expectation, worth more talking about than just rumours gaming sites go on about anyway. Imo
Yeah playing last night was a pain, very frequent disconnects. Had to redo the same mission 3 times. Hope they have it ironed out by now!
do world a favour and keep them switched off
Meanwhile Warframe has had another upgrade with more to come. Not bad for a game that will be 6 years old this month. Anthem & Destiny should have looked at it more carefully.
