Borderlands 3 is finally on the cusp of being revealed, almost a decade after the release of its immediate predecessor. The long-in-development sequel is set to be outlined during a PAX East panel from 2PM ET tomorrow, but you can catch a teaser trailer to tide you over above. There are a few familiar faces in the clip, including Sir Hammerlock.
Perhaps most interesting of all, many of the models spotted in the video corroborate a recent rumour, including a pair of villainous twins. It’ll be interesting to see where developer Gearbox takes the popular first-person franchise in this post-Destiny landscape: are we looking at a traditional co-op experience – or a more service-driven game?

Pretty excited to see this.
Been waiting so long for this, so excited to finally see a new borderlands game! Really hoping they don't go live service route. As much as I love the Division/Destiny, really think they should stick to their bread and butter with Borderlands
Looking forward to seeing what they have in store for the Franchise. Not the first time a Borderlands games has been on this gen but the first to built for at least this, if not with one eye on the next too...
im sure i speak for a lot of people when i say wooooooo
I can't wait!!! Borderlands is one of my favorite franchises all around. I hope Krieg is back in this one.
I reckon this is well going to be live service game but as long as it can be played solo I won't be too fussed. I'm looking forward to seeing new playable characters and classes.
Someone hacked @get2sammyb account.
Fingers crossed for BR mode! 😂
Looking forward to seeing this. The light & modelling demo looked pretty sweet.
If its live service like division 2, not too bad of a change. I think aurilia will be playable again. Which is great, because she was pretty good in the pre sequel.
HYPE!
The only thing I kinda wished they would change is the art direction from the previous the games in the series but other than that I'm looking forward to the full reveal.
@WanderingBullet I thought the cell shaded art style suited Borderlands more then realistic style of say something like CoD or Gears of War. It helps it stand out more and makes it so it doesn't get lost in a sea of other FPS games
True fact Borderlands wasn't originally meant to have cell shaded art. The choice was made at the eleventh hour and the change made the art designer quit the game industry cause they took the change so personal
@BAMozzy I now have an image in my head that the developers at Gearbox have eyes that move independently of each other...like a lizard 🦎
Borderlands 2 is my all time favorite game so I’m really stoked for this. Hopefully it’s more along the lines of 2 than the Pre-Sequel. Keep the art style, the gameplay similar and don’t make it live service, that’s enough for me to stay super excited.
That was a pretty slick trailer not gonna lie... Looking forward to seeing more!
@Tasuki I like cel shaded art just not Borderland's for some reason.

I really, really liked Borderlands 2. Awesome game, improved on the first so much. You know what would have elevated from a really good game to a GREAT game? Customizable gear. I was really disappointed when they dropped the ball here, because you could see the system was already in place for it. The game generates "a bazillion" different guns by randomly generating them from a pool of different components, like the body, stock, scope, etc. Well, instead of dropping premade guns and items, why not just drop the components? Like you open a chest and find just a scope you can put on any gun. Because anyone who played that game remembers finding an awesome gun with a scope you didn't like or an out of place modifier. They were so close! The premade randomized loot concept a la Diablo never sat too well with me.
