A whopping 270 issues? Wow, that’s over four years of WAYP – and we still haven’t missed a single week. This first edition for May 2019 is admittedly a little thin, but it’s been a desperately quiet week in the PlayStation Nation anyway. Let’s just get on with it, shall we?

Much to the disappointment of Overlord Barker, I've started replaying Persona 5. There's a bit of a lull in the review schedule at the minute so this is probably my best chance at reliving the game before The Royal hits next year. I still think it's great, but Morgana is way, way more annoying than I remember.

I'll be making a killing in Shakedown: Hawaii as I play through it for review. I've liked the look of this pixelated crime 'em up since its announcement, so I'm looking forward to running and gunning my way across its open world island. I'll also need to carry on building Snacks on a Train in Dreams, a project I'm thoroughly enjoying.

The focus of this weekend when it comes to video games will be on Sniper Elite V2 Remastered for review. I guess I’ll drag my way through a couple of missions in Days Gone, too. Yeah, I don’t think that game is too great.

Another weekend means more Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for me. I also plan on starting up the Phoenix Wright Trilogy which I have been wanting to replay for quite some time now.
What are you playing this weekend, then? Is there anything in particular that's taken your fancy? Let us know in the comments section below.

Kinda bored of Kingdom Hearts 3, so I’m gonna play more Rocket League.
Might either start the story mode for Mortal Kombat 11, or start Red Dead 2 or start Final Fantasy XII HD.
That and I might play a few rounds of Smash Ultimate and play more created levels in Dreams.
I'm determined to make further progress in Xenoblade 2's Torna: The Golden Country DLC.
Also, I'll probably play a bit of Smash with a friend.
And probably play some Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.
Going to be getting the final multiplayer trophies on PES 2019, so I can focus on single player for the plat.
The Division 2, finishing off the ACO Fate of Atlantis dlc, FIFA 19, and some Tesla vs Lovecraft, thanks to the new dlc. Am really close to pulling the trigger on buying Days Gone so could be playing that too!
UPDATE: I finally pulled the trigger and bought Days Gone! It’s very early days but am so far enjoying it. Excellent graphics.
Going back to Get the Platinum in Final Fantasy 13 Then Going After The ones In Both Tales Of Berseria And Tales Of Zestiria
Now that I’m done with Zelda, I’m gonna give some attention to Sekiro. Might also play some Stardew Valley and Overwatch.
Need to make up for lost time on Final Fantasy XIV, but I've also started Crystalis for the first time, so I'll be putting some progress into that as well.
Picked up Dark Souls 1 a couple of days ago, just taken care of a couple of pesky gargoyles and rang the first bell so think I’m making decent progress!
Days Gone, absolutely loving it so far. Also should get round to reaching the endgame of Division 2, I haven't really been helping the clan the last week or so.
The awesome Horizon Zero Dawn. I've started on The Frozen Wilds and immediately noticed the improvement in facial animations and voice acting. Some of the machines up here are right nasty buggers but it's an enjoyable challenge.
I honestly think this is the PS4's best exclusive game.
I’ve got back to replaying Witcher 3 as I make progress to getting the plat. I’ll also play some Prop Hunt in Blops 4 which is great fun with. Will get some BFV in there as well. Bank holiday weekend here in Ireland so I’ll get some golfing in to irl
I've made the decision that from this day forward...well actually a week ago...I shall only be playing one game per system at a time as juggling too many was getting out of hand.
So this weekend I'll be playing Assassins Creed Origins again which I completed a week or so a go but Im now getting through the Curse Of The Pharoahs DLC.Brilliant stuff.
On the Switch I'll either be playing more Yoshis Crafted World or I may go back to Ys VIII.
Have a good weekend all
I'm going to get going on wolfenstein 2 later tonight. Bit burnt-out on open world games, and just want some fun focused gaming with no repetitive filler quests or slow bits. Hope u can dual wield, shotguns and rifles like the last one.
mutant year zero road to Eden.great amazing game.it get a 9 from me.dux is funny.word up son
Playing the installation game of filling the 3Tb hard-drive space of the recently bought PS4 Pro... gonna go buy a brand new 4K TV this week-end and then I’ll try a bunch of games!
Hitman 2, grabbed it when it was on sale last week so I'm eager to get started in it. And since Sean Bean's character has returned for a limited time until 3rd June, I want to get good at the game before the deadline so I can have a good attempt at that mission.
Also carrying on with Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. I'll probably play some other things as well, but not sure what yet as there's quite a few games that I'm eager to try out.
Another weekend at work. But I’m mostly making time for Ace Attorney Trilogy and I’m actually playing Devil May Cry 4. Playing as Lady.
After getting home from working away i got days gone on the go only a week late, im actually loving it and ignored all the niggles that i was expecting because i think i was looking for them after reading so much about it, my cannon fodder mission is over until next time im working away!
Some Tales of Berseria, maybe Spyro 2 and some Rocket League. @kyleforrester87 just downloaded that last night as well, along with the messanger. Might give those a look too!
@shonenjump86 - DMC4 as Lady and Trish is awesome, much prefer playing as them over Nero and Dante. As for me I picked up the Ni No Kuni 2 season pass and Z.O.E 2nd Runner in the Big in Japan sale so I'll be getting stuck into those.
Making a dent in my 1st playthrough of Persona 5. Just finished my exams in game
Trying for the plat in deus ex mankind divided and hopefully heading back to Odyssey
Probably going to start Nier Automata. Debating picking up Odin Sphere digital. Had a PS2 copy and couldn't get into it then, but maybe one of us has changed.
I found a pretty rare game at Bookman's called Fragile Dreams for the Wii. I am really enjoying it, so I'll be playing that, along with Borderlands 2 with the bois.
@Ichiyama both fantastic games!
It's all about Horizon for me this weekend, I bought the dlc in the sale and I've just entered the Frozen Wilds before finishing off the main story and chasing the platinum
Yakuza Kiwami. I'm starting to get a little tired of Majima. Every time I go and get a burger, or go bowling, there he is. I can't even go for a dump without his head popping out of the pan to annoy me some more. He really is everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if he attacked me in real life at this point.
RE2 Remake. Just finished with Claire and gonna start with Leon. And, on a side note, after reading this comment section a couple of ppl reminded me that i really need to start the Frozen Wilds dlc at some point
days gone great game gets better the further into story
What’s up guys, I’ve been getting lost in the world of Bloodborne. It is amazing! I think about the game when I’m not playing it.
@Areus is berseria any good? Im quite tempted by it in the big in japan sale. Only tales game i have played previously was tales of hearts r on vita though
Probably Days Gone and some nostalgic stuff on my C64 mini...
@Shigurui I’m a little bit late playing DMC games but I’m really enjoying my play through with Lady/Trish.
The cyberpunk phase rumbles on. Still playing Detroit and Technobabylon. I also picked up VA-11 HALL-A, or whatever weird way you're meant to type it. Love the artstyle and music but haven't played it yet.
@Rob_230 I'd recommend Vesperia over it. The combat system and character upgrade system isn't that fun in Berseria, and the story takes ages to get going (after a strong start, admittedly).
After about 4 hours into Days Gone, honestly I felt like shelving the game and giving up. I liked it initially but that feeling quickly went as I got annoyed by the terrible AI and (imo) dull combat, not to mention the overly intrusive HUD and constant pop ups telling me how I've gone from 24.5% to 27% of a mission complete..
However, I actually restarted it the other day and am trying again, this time on Hard Mode in hope for a more grounded experience. I'm gonna try to play a lot slower this time and am now about 2 hours in and generally I'm back onboard.
So in short.. WAYPTW? Days Gone. Probably.
@BridgeToClarity unfortunately no. There's virtually no customisation when it comes to controls or HUD, which is a bit odd particularly in a game that's very heavy with on screen stuff.
The graphics are great and the world is pretty in its own way, it's somewhat spoiled over the top text, markers and all sorts of unnecessary guff.
Gone Home wow that narritive was heavy stuff i loved the ending.
@Matroska thanks for the heads up. Ive been debating between the two for ages
Oh btw, VA-11 HALL A is genuinely amazing. Hope you enjoy it
@Matroska I want to play the game thats from your avatar i loved the demo so much whatever happend to that game?
So far this weekend ive managed to finally get the plat on spyro 2 (taking a long break before playing spyro 3 i think) and have just started battlefield 1. Im also playing lego batman 3 on my vita and continuing my playthrough of lego avengers with my wife.
@carlos82 you are in for a treat. Frozen wilds is amazing. Id almost recomend finishing main story first because that way you can get the shield weaver armour - really recommended when taking on scorchers and the fireclaws and frost claws. Also the animation of the cutscenes is infinitely better than in the main game, so it could be quite jarring when you go back to finish the main story. Either way you are in for a treat
Off to Play Expo Manchester tomorrow but for a friend staying so showing off some PSVR and maybe some more Wind Waker
@Rob_230 yeah I think I'm gonna continue with the main story for now and come back to it, I'm not far away from that point anyway and yeah I noticed an immediate difference with the first person I spoke to. Definitely one of my favourite games despite me not finishing it yet for whatever reason
@Neolit I do this all the time and seem to have many games that I've put a lot of time into but not quite finished over the last couple of years, so I'm using the next few months to catch up and polish them off. This means that my current line up reads Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Persona 5, Witcher 3 DLC, Spiderman DLC, RDR 2 and then probably Uncharted Lost Legacy, so all things considered a pretty fantastic next few months of gameplay 😁😁😁
Played a bit of Enter the Gungeon this morning, great fun.
Days Gone and Mortal Kombat 11
@Flaming_Kaiser They're still working on it. Their Twitter account posts updates and artwork pretty frequently. No release date though, as far as I can see.
PUBG this weekend!
The greatest game of all time the witcher 3
Playing Days Gone. @thefirst agreed.
Jeez Robert just reminded me I have Persona 5 waiting to be platinumed along with HZD, GOW, Fallout 4, Dishonored 2 & DoTO...wow
Anyway for this weekend - still loving AC Odyssey, the combat is very fun. And of course RDR2, some SFV and GTAV. @Flaming_Kaiser I agree with this list, GTAV is better than a whole lot of today's games. https://m.ign.com/articles/best-xbox-one-games-2 😉
@kyleforrester87 really is a great game, except for one area, i wont spoil anything
Started witcher 3 again, cant remember why i didnt finish it before, such a fun game.
Katana zero on switch
@Matroska well lets hope its coming soon. 😁
Since I'm not able do defeat a certain boss in Sekiro, I'll try to progress a little bit in RDR2..
Dear Esther on the PS4. I've played it on PC already but that was before the upgraded edition, and I haven't played it on my PS4 since I bought it some time ago. I just love the thick dark atmosphere of it; to put on my headphones and soak everything in. Will probably replay Gone to Rapture as well.
Total War Rome 2 on PC. I've been more of a Hegemony guy (similar gameplay but much more generous with content), but decided to add this one to my collection as well. Will play as Egypt probably. Also some Production Line, it's like Big Pharma and Factorio but with car manufacturing.
Since the Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal I've been back into Borderlands 2. Can't get enough of it.
Back playing Everybody's golf world tour on PS3.
@kyleforrester87 are you playing the Switch version? What’s it like in handheld mode?
I’m playing a lot of Cuphead. It’s great.
The small amount of free time will be spent finishing the last third of Days Gone. I still think it's just okay.
@Wesker naw PS4, to be honest I don’t get on with the Switch controller as much as I do the Dual Shock so that’s the main reason.
I’m sure it’s good on Switch though, even at 30fps.
Hitman 2 (elusive target) . This game is such a gem. Also I got hooked with the single campaign of MORTAL KOMBAT X.
Some of the stealth kills in Days Gone are just brutal lol. The game is just gorgeous to boot. Im playing Days Gone in case there is any confusion😁
@MightyDemon82 the messenger is a beautiful love letter to games of the past. And honestly more accessible.
@Ps4_all_the_way been playin some ps4 everybody golf to get ready for VR
@Nyne11Tyme i've played upto the area where you get the flight suit. Really enjoying it so far and great humour which i didn't expect in this type of game!
@MightyDemon82 the self awareness cracks me up! Lol. Im not much further than you i dont think. I love the music too. Keep anything Devolver publishes on the radar. They are quietly becoming my fav pub. And whatever Dennaton Games does now that i know Hotline Miami is done😞
I'm kinda lost on what to play...might give Resident Evil 1 another try, or maybe I'll return to Rise of the Tomb Raider?
Either that or take another stab at Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
Keeping on fighting through sekiro and trying to figure out stellaris
Well I just ended up playing Tekken 7 over the weekend and the 3 playlink games I own (UNO, That's You! and Knowledge is Power) with friends.
Been trying to do all the optional stuff in days gone (ambush camps, Nero checkpoints etc) and started danganronpa V3
@kyleforrester87 I also prefer the PS4 controller... it's boss! Also the graphics/performance obvs. Have you finished Sekiro by the way?
@Wesker nah not yet, it was a bit of a mistake getting this before i’d finished Sekiro which I am just going into the final stretch of. Overall though I’d say even though Sekiro is awesome I’m actually having more fun with this game. Have hardly been able to put it down the past couple of days, it’s really that good.
@Nyne11Tyme
I have that version myself but haven't gotten round to playing it yet. I'm trying to complete "World tour" first. There's a second PS3 game also. It's a fantastic series.
