Ahead of its release next month, you can get an early look at Dragon Quest Builders 2 thanks to a newly released, playable demo on PlayStation 4. Said demo offers a chance to play through the start of the game, or freely explore an untamed island. It should give you a good idea of how the game's going to play, especially if you've never tried your hand at the first Dragon Quest Builders.
We've got reasonably high hopes for Builders 2 given that we had a great time with its predecessor. Are you looking forward to building a new home next month? Watch where you're swinging that hammer in the comments section below.

Can you play the game co-op? I'll have to do some research and check
Doesn't seem to be in the US Store, yet.
Edit: Nvm, seems to be a problem with web browser version. Found it using my PS4 instead.
I've already played both demos - on Switch and PS4. It is sooo much better on Sony's console. Plays and runs like a charm. On Switch, it has slight stuttering problems and the loading at the beginning takes forever. I guess, I'll go with the PS4 version.
This is going to be a day one like the first one but I'm still tempted to try the demo anyway..does your progress carry on?
So hyped for this!
@NintendoFan4Lyf Seems to be the case, yes. Looks like 1080p, 30fps (docked) now instead of the prequel's 720p, 60fps. I've found the first DQB to be much much smoother. The difference between 30 and 60 fps is more obvious than I thought. :/
@NintendoFan4Lyf You're welcome.
I'm also used to 30 fps (spending over 150 hours in Zelda BotW for instance) and Dragon Quest Builders 2 plays just fine on Switch, but changing to 60 fps mode, having PS4 and Switch side by side, the difference was very visible for me. Since I use my Switch in handheld mode very rarely, I prefer getting the game on PS4. Otherwise I'd also be happy with the Switch one. Compared to the recently released Bloodstained, it's a solid port.
Just downloaded the PS4 demo so will probably check that out at the weekend. Reckon this will be a definite "buy before end of year" game for me, as I can't afford it right now after impulsively preordering Judgment just before release...not regretting that one at all though! 😜
How does four player co-op work? Also, since the character creation only has two presets, in co-op everyone will look the same except with different colors?
