Like its predecessor, Sunless Skies has been cleaning up on PC with universal acclaim, and it's now confirmed to be heading to PlayStation 4. Dubbed the Sovereign Edition, this console specific release takes the gritty, narrative-driven RPG and reworks it for play on a controller.
But what are you doing in Sunless Skies? As with Sunless Sea, you'll be exploring a version of Victorian London that's fallen into disarray. The key difference is that you're swapping out the mysterious ocean for the expanses of space, and yes, you'll be piloting a steam train from place to place. Blending supernatural scares, permadeath, and what sounds like a ton of story content, this could be well worth checking out when it finally arrives in the first half of 2020.
Will you be playing Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition on PS4? All aboard in the comments below.

I played a bit of the first one on my phone/PC, Fallen London. Given the format I think it’s a lot better there and driving the train around like that instead of narrative sounds kinda boring. It just seems like a real low-budget cheap rendering of the vision.
