Spike Chunsoft is currently in the hiring process for its next project after putting out AI: The Somnium Files a few months back, and the publisher is seeking applicants who share a love for the visual-novel franchise Danganronpa. The job listing gives little else away, other than the fact that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, but the fact that it is searching for lovers of Monokuma suggests that another entry in the series could be on its way.
As spotted by Gematsu, Spike Chunsoft is looking to hire a UI Designer who has professional communication skills and experience in user interface creation on consoles and PC. What has gotten everyone talking, however, is the requirement stating "someone who likes the Danganronpa series."
Of course, it's easy to assume that this would suggest another Danganronpa game is on its way following the culmination of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, but there is another possibility on the table. Franchise creator Kazutaka Kodaka is currently working on a "new dark fantasy-esque mystery game", and so the job listing could be referring to this project instead.
Do you hope a new Danganronpa title is on its way? Make your choice in the comments below.

Ignoring V3's ending, yes I love Danganronpa! Unfortunately, I am no UI designer. Good luck to whoever applies though.
"Do you hope a new Danganronpa title is on its way?"
Not really. Danganronpa V3's ending was bold and a terrific way to end the series.
I wouldn't mind another adventure/mystery series in that vein, though.
Clearly Danganronpa has sold well enough for them to restart development on Sakura's Revenge.
Didnt the Danganronpa creator leave and start a new studio? I thought if there was going to be a new Danganronpa game it would be made by his new studio Too Kyo games?
V3’s ending was awful so if there is a new one I’d appreciate them ignoring that game
@Oh_fiddlesticks I assume Spike Chunsoft has ownership over the IP.
Anyway, Kodaka has been hard at work on Death March Club for Too Kyo for a while now, and it's expected to release next year, so I wouldn't expect anything else out of him for a while.
@KratosMD I played the demo on Switch & loved it but just can't afford £54 for it just now. I think Switch is an ideal place to play these. I played the Dananronpa games on Vita. When I sit in front of my TV to play I prefer it too be big games with all the visual bells & whistles.(not that yousasked for my gaming habits, I justwent of on a bit of a tangent there sorry)
The gist Indies & Visual Novels are better on handheld. imo
I do I even made a series about the series https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvMQE2l12R5Cs0KYexsIT69KvFuq61yma
@Oh_fiddlesticks Yeah, Kodaka left Spike Chunsoft and now he’s working on a game (sorta?) like it.
Holy cow!! I am a HUGE fan and think its such a shame the series is so overlooked. I would love anything new to the series and would prefer something in the veins of the first 2 and V3 over ultra despair girls. It may be different without Kodaka, but it can still be done with the right expertise! Do it big Spike Chunsoft!!
@Oh_fiddlesticks Unfortunately, Kodaka said he’s done with Danganronpa and after Death March Club, there will be no more killing games from him. But luckily for us, he left the rights to Danganronpa with Spike Chunsoft. So if a new game happened, there’d be no Kodaka and probably a new music guy too (sadly I loved Takada’s music).
