The D.I.C.E. Awards (Design Innovate Communicate Entertain) took place overnight, awarding the best video games of 2019 with worthy trinkets for the teams' mantelpieces. You really put "Worthy Winners" knowing that Untitled Meme Game won GOTY, you madman.
We were civil, it was actually Liam who took umbrage that we weren't all in on the joke of that goose nonsense being hailed as GOTY by industry 'experts'.

The real question is will Final Fantasy VII Remake dominate DICE 2021 or will Cyberpunk 2077?
@GamingFan4Lyf Or Last of Us 2 or Ghost of Tsushima or maybe it will be a game where you play as a squirrel and you have to steal people's nuts.

@Col_McCafferty A squirrel game would be perfect for this 'mischief simulator' genre that UGG popularized. When I lived in Colorado, there was this one little furry jerk who would destroy our bird feeders, tear things off the outside of our house, and run along the top of the fence harassing our dogs.
Trails of Cold Steel 1 re-release was my fave game of 2019, but at least I know itβs not GOTY material.
@Col_McCafferty True that.
DICE will probably be dominated by Cyberpunk and Sony exclusives - unless the sequel for Breath of the Wild comes out this year as that's all I can see from Nintendo that could compete with the heavy-hitters releasing this year.
Mario Kart Tour winning Racing Game of the Year over CTR is a bad joke. And I say that as a Mario Kart fan who couldn't give a toss about CTR.
How the F*** did Mario Kart Tour win racing game of the year? I'm a huge Nintendo and Mario Kart fan but that is utter garbage.
@Ralizah same here
There are some worthy winners, the animation in Luigi's Mansion is superb and puts to shame many efforts on more powerful hardware, games like Control were excellent as was Mortal Kombat and The Outer Worlds, whilst I've only heard great things about Disco Elysium
@Ralizah I think it was a insult too Mario Kart. I rather seen a HD remake from the SNES version and those MT's its a joke.
Glad Mortal Kombat is finally getting a little love!
