Update: Playful Studios has now confirmed that New Super Lucky's Tale will be coming to PS4 in the future. We'll be sure to share more details as and when they become available.
Original story: New Super Lucky's Tale appears to be coming to PlayStation 4 if a new streak of retailer listings are to be believed as spotted by Gematsu. The former VR exclusive, which turned into a traditional title upon its Xbox One launch before being expanded with a Nintendo Switch release, has been listed on both GAME and Amazon Spain as a PS4 title with a release date of 2nd July 2020.
If you head on through the two links above, you'll see that the retailers have a full description of what to expect and even official boxart. We reckon this is an announcement which has slipped through the cracks a little bit too early. As such, expect an official reveal in the near future.
Our friends over at Nintendo Life awarded New Super Lucky's Tale an admirable 8/10 upon its Nintendo Switch launch, describing it as a solid port of an underrated platformer. "It's a little on the short side and may not provide much of a challenge to more hardened gamers – and if you already own it on Xbox One there really isn't enough new here to warrant a second purchase – but what makes it worth a look is its uncanny ability to make you smile, and this is something that can't be overlooked, especially in modern times."

Good game on xbox i just hate the controller so i didnt play it too much
I've played a tiny bit of this and it's a cute, fun little game.
Cuphead would have been a better choice.word up son
Something I'd definitely play to relax
The Switch version is a very pleasant game.
Yeah good game.
That'll be lovely if true. I'm always eager for more 3D platformers.
I've played about half of it and yeah it's alright for what it is.
I had a feeling this would make the jump over to PS4.
Cool I was wanting this to make it's way to PS4. Now just bring Cuphead over
Played it on the Switch, super fun overall but not much challenge besides the puzzle rooms.
I 100%ed this game on Switch, and I adored it. It was such a bright, happy game, and Lucky is super cute. Sometimes you just need a happy, relaxing game.
You'll get cuphead if we get Spiderman😂
I own both consoles. Chill.
Cuphead should be next hopefully
Bought this on the Switch..a real fun and cute platformer.Unfortunately I didant beat the final level as that boss was a pain in the ass but if this ends up as PSVR compatible I'll buy it again!
Cool id rather play it on Ps4 because of the trophies and smoother gameplay.
Played the demo on Switch. Downloaded the game on PC w/ Xbox Gamepass. Didn't play it b/c I found the fixed camera annoying. Which does at least explain the "New" in the title.
I played it on Switch, I found it decisively average just all around, wouldn't recommend it.
This wasn’t a VR game, the Oculus Lucky’s Tale was a totally different game. Both decent though. So if Playful are still about might we still get a Star Child release one day?
Personally i did not think it was very good. I usually have a soft spot for platformers because we grew up with a lot of them. If you havent played on your Xbox or Switch (if you have one) id approach with caution. I found it very forgettable story and character wise. The mechanics were fine but everything seemed safe. Just my thoughts. If its 19.99 or cheaper id say for it though
I guess it's official now.

It's not a top tier platformer, but I found it to be a fun time on Switch.
@BobbyV
What happen to that game?
Star child was one of the better demo on the VR demo disk imo.
Felt like a VR metroid. I still hope we'll see that game someday. 🤞🤞
@Chryssy75 yeah the demo was great, studio troubles I heard. Hope it still happens they clearly put a lot of work in
Good to hear, PS4 can always use new 3D platformers.
Good go for something sweet and simple every once in a while. Could see myself grabbing this down the road.
