Ubisoft has been busy with websites recently. Last week, it registered the domain for Assassin's Creed Valhalla just hours before the game was officially revealed, and now, it's registered princeofpersia6.com. Is the publisher finally bringing the action platforming franchise back from the dead?
While not concrete proof that we're getting Prince of Persia 6, it's still a very specific domain, so there's a chance that it does actually mean something. And with so many next-gen events coming soon -- Microsoft's Xbox Series X showcase is later this week, while Sony's PS5 reveal seems set for late May or early June -- it's possible that Ubisoft may be gearing up for an announcement.

Absolutely. I’m sick to death of AC games.
Would be awesome! Hope it’s not a mobile game.
There are four Sands of Times games, and the reboot. Where does 6 fit in though? They have two separate PoPs here. I would be happy with a sequel to either one though.
Bring back Sam while you’re at it, Ubi
That would be wonderful. Here’s hoping it’s not a mobile game.
First call for hype train to PlayStation 5!
Probably a mobile game... I hope not though.
Probably another reboot. It's been too long for a sequel to the last one without a rerelease or remake, and the Sands trilogy was clearly complete with Two Thrones. I hope they don't go open world or even RPG at this point, it'd be too much like AC.
@cloud36426 While nothing would surprise me with Ubisoft, the fact it’s a numbered title means it’s probably not a mobile title. Well, even if it is, it’s more likely to be an Apple Arcade game and some of those have been ace.
PLEASE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SO VERY LONG
Never been a fan of these. I'll give this a miss
Yes! The Sands of Time is still one of my favourite gaming memories. Very excited to find out more about this...
@thebakerswife That makes sense, especially since Ubisoft said AC was created in the first place due to them trying out different things for a sequel to Sands of Time - the same as how DMC was born of Capcom trying different things out for RE4.
@Jaz007 Well don't forget all the games before Sands of Time, too. SoT was itself a reboot. I wonder which games they're counting since there's about 14 of them now.
Oh yes. Please. And make it more grounded like the original original.
I would love a sequel to prince of persia 2008. That game was beautiful. Imagine what they could do with that artstyle on ps5.
Would like to see this, actually just went back to the Forgotten Sands to get my last trophy and the Plat.
1st trophy 29th Dec 2010
Plat 29th Mar 2020.
Almost 10 years and yes i needed a walkthrough to get the 'Got Walkthrough?' trophy.
There's a lockdown article for you guys, how long between your first trophy in a game and your Platinum?
I really enjoyed Sands of Time back in the day. Eager to see what this new game will be like.
I hope it's in line with the PS2 trilogy, linear, with great platforming, etc. I don't want an open world, live service dumpster fire.
Echoing the previous sentiments regarding 'The Sands of Time', that game got everything right which the sequels then decided to mess with.
SoT remaster would always be nice, used to have it on the Gamecube and it was an excellent game then.
Can't wait, I hope it's normal linear single player game or at least hub-based like god of war rather than open world game like assassin creed
Finally, a real child of Ubisoft that they love
Instead of one franchise why not bring back Splinter Cell as well for god's sake 5th gen really needs more IPs and not the same crap all over again
@thefirst @thefirst K the music I found was awesome one of my finest games to plat as well a nice challenge
I’d love to see a remastered collection of the sands of time trilogy.
i guess after the asscreed wahmen valhalla we can expect princess of persia now.
Please let this happen. Also hope they go for a light hearted theme like the first PS2 game again. Just make it feel like a MCU movie.
@thebakerswife Oh yes, I agree, I think there's space for both now. When I think PoP platforming acrobatics come to mind. The 2008 game was about as open world as I'd like to see PoP get. I wish we were getting a sequel to that game, but it's probably been too long. That's why I think total reboot unless they try to cash in on a Sands trilogy remaster. I loved those games too, but I'd be a little disappointed if they just rolled those forward. PoP deserves more new entries.
What's wrong with AC ? Can't wait for this one.
@Bluetrain7 Only way to do that is to tell them NO MOBILE.
I DONT LIKE VIDEO GAMES ON MOBILE LIKE ROCKMAN X DIVA. ITS HORRIBLE! AND DISAPPOINTMENT! YES I M TYPING IT AS SHOUT!
A mobile games are ABSOLUTELY stupid. Hate the touchscreen only!
Prince of persia and splinter cell would be great at this point.
Please let the story continue whether it gets completed in part 2 or part 4, I just really wanna return to the 2008 game's story.
Hopefully it will be that and not something like Forgotten Sands.
@Boldfoxrd Gross...No thank you....Forgotten Sands was a masterpiece compared to that god awful 2008 crap...
Pop on ps5, raytraced desert views..yes please!!
@Jaz007 Fits in because it would be the 6th game in the PoP series...Hopefully it wouldn't be a sequel to that god awful 2008 game...Forgotten Sands wasn't the greatest but it was sure as hell alot better than baby's first PoP that the 2008 game was.....Luckily from what I recall the 2008 game sold terrible, everyone hated it and they said they wouldn't be continuing it
If this end up being a full fledged PS4/PS5 game I'm highly interested.
I had great fun with that PS3 title.
