Godfall's Cinematic Opening Is Way More Hype Than We Expected

I am really looking forward to this game. If I was able to secure a launch PS5, this and Demon's Souls were going to be my game purchases but alas, it was not meant to be.

I hope it does well and meets or surpasses people's expectations because I know there are some who are still not entirely convinced about the game. Good luck to it.

The cinematics look great. I have absolutely no interest in any type of looter shooter even if you use swords instead of guns.

I think Sony have been on the coco cola and fizzy tabs today, with all this news and videos. A good day.

It’s a good cinematic and these sorts of games do totally deliver on that front. Destiny 2, for example, has an incredible cinematic after the opening mission.

Anyone know if the official Sony dual sense charging dock plugs into the mains plug socket like the official PS4 dual shock charging dock.

Man Sony brought the heat today! Looks great probably won't get to this til early next year but it looks better and better every time they show it. Look forward to reviews!

@deathaxe well, I only have one left because today I've pre-ordered a PS5 and an additional dualsense, so... I hope my body can work with no kidneys, since I'm willing to get Horizon 2 on launch 🥺...

Taxes here are incredibly high but what's worse it's the US dollar conversion rate. If you take the minimum monthly wage/salary here, you must spend 4 full months of work to get a PS5 digital edition.

I saw the cinematic opening of the game and it was full of cinematic movements and interesting events, according to my opinion, it will be an exciting and exciting story game for players.

I don't understand the seeming dislike or disinterest in this game from so many people. It's like co-op God of War action with Diablo loot. And it's confirmed to not be a live service game by the devs themselves. That sounds fun as all hell.

I actually think it looks like the most intriguing original IP launch title of the new generation.

@MFTWrecks I agree for the most part. I think it hasn't been shown well, which is the main problem people have. But you're right — God of War combat and Diablo loot? Where do I sign up?

There's spmething about this game I can't quite shake - like it just looks like a phone game for some reason. Like it's one of those "pc quality graphics!" kind of phone game that tries to show off a product it's not really selling. Having seen more I'm ever so slowly warming up to it in concept, but something about it feels almost fake.

I'm almost positive it's nearly 100% due to that awful trailer they had during the PS5 reveal. Having not heard much of the game beforehand and then being hit with that "totally epic gamers unite" - style trailer made me immediately write the game off.

I’ve been confusing this with Greedfall.
Why can’t these games come up with unique names? Especially if they come out within a couple years of each other. The Outer Worlds / The Outer Wilds was the worst offender... Pyre / Prey... Shadow of the Tomb Raider / Shadow of War / Shadow of the Collosus / Shadow of the Beast ... ugh, my brain needs things a little more distinct.

The first battle scene reminded me of Mortal Kombat Armageddon. But yeah it looks good. Almost makes me wanna buy it.

@Eadgar it's also coming to PC if you really want to play it and still can't get a PS5, but only on the Epic store.

😄-Sony's Charging dock for the Dual Sense Controllers DOESN'T use the USB-C port on the controllers, it's a double MAGNETIC CRADLE that uses a total of 4 flat contact points that are divided into 2 pairs on either side of the 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom of the Dual Sense Controllers, I love the design, because it'll make it a quicker prospect for when you need to switch out the controllers! 😃-All you need to do to make sure that it's making proper contact, is to check for it to light up Amber (It turns Blue when fully charged), just like the current charging station that I use for my DS4 controllers! Looks wicked easy😁👍!

Then I saw the gameplay trailer. I got a destiny 2 vibe, which isnt bad. Destiny 2 has some fun gameplay. If it is anything like D2, they will probably have dlc down the line, and probably will release a all-in-one. Other than graphics, I wonder what'll be "nextgen" about it. Hope it isnt a "ryse" game, all style, no substance.

Loot games don’t have to be like this. Nioh 2 is a good example of a loot based game that has numerous other great mechanics and zero micro transactions. Doesn’t rely on ripping off children. Just saying.

Fantastic trailer. I wish I could get more into the game but there are already plenty I m excited for day 1 and cant play everything.

the more I see of this game the more interesting it looks. For those wanting more info I think Khraze on YouTube has a dev interview with some interesting details. Also I always joke about Sackboy but it actually looks fun

@Arnna The developers have confirmed it is not live service. It won't have any loot boxes or microtransactions. It's basically God of War 2018 combat with Diablo Loot. It's not a shooter. It's a Hack n Slash game with loot. Sign me up! You should watch the "Combat Trailer" that came out couple of weeks ago, it looks soo much better and more polished both in visuals and in gameplay.

This alongside the new gameplay footage has turned this from a must avoid to a wait and see. Cautiously interested....

@ShogunRok I think they remedied that issue with last underwater gameplay trailer. That seemed to change the tide of perception to a positive light, would you not agree? I myself was sold as soon as they verified no microtransactions!

As with all looters of the last few years, wait 6 months till they sort it out. Can't remember a looter releasing in a decent state, well maybe Boarderlands 3 but the fact remains, Don't pre-order this kind of game!

the game got me the first time I saw it looking great.

Unfortthis trailer didn't do anything at all for me, I'm still looking forward to the game though. This and I cant remember what it's called but it's a game by squenix and PlatinumGames are the ones I'm looking forward to the most right now.

Godfall and Demons Souls are my launch day games!!! Roll on the 19th November (UK launch)
Not going to watch any videos/trailers for Godfall. dont want the game spoiled....... I want a 100% blind playthrough
