Wow, it's been a while since we wrote about The Division 2. Ubisoft's open world looter shooter simply dropped off our radar months ago -- but this news has at least caught our attention. During the game's most recent developer livestream, it was revealed that a brand new endgame activity is coming: The Summit.
The activity itself sounds quite cool. You and your squad will be tasked with conquering a skyscraper made up of 100 different floors. You'll reach checkpoints as you work your way to the top of the tower, and there'll be boss battles every ten floors. It's also procedurally generated to some extent, ensuring that the challenge stays somewhat fresh.
The Summit will arrive as part of the Warlords of New York expansion, so you'll need that in order to play it. There's no specific release date yet, but it's being tested on PC starting this week, so it can't be too far off.

I deleted division 2 to make room for avengers....hmmmmm i forgot this mode was coming out
I bought this on pc when it's discounted, I hope ubisoft made 60 fps patch for ps5 since the game isn't a smooth 30 fps on ps4 (unlike tlou 2 and ghost of tsushima).
The story is whatever but the gameplay, shooting, and gears/loot is pretty good.
100 floors of bullet sponges taking hours to complete? No thanks.
Rumour is spongebob is the final boss
Reminds of that awesome chapter The Descent in The Last Of Us 2 where Abs and Lev have to climb down through an old infested hotel. Quality that was.
@wiiware Would they even do that? I heard something like with ps4 pro games could only get patch to 60fps if the game on base ps4 was targetted 60. It's to do with fairness of MP stuff like if ur running 60fps vs someone locked to 30
When The Division turns into The Raid.
Nice, I got this very cheap on the one s. Will def be getting this.
@TechaNinja I think ps5 is powerful enough for last gen ps4 patch. Also there's always pc that have different performance for each players. I suspect ubisoft will release the patch as divisions 2 ps5 remaster though lol.
I played this game a lot. Actually I played the first one a lot too.
I was a huge fan of this game. So when I bought the 2nd one, i bought the special edition (season pass included). Not cheap.
Guess what, the "expansion" was not included. We had to pay more 40€ for it.
Actually, nothing is included in the season pass apart from some visual trickets and very very small special missions..
After all the bugs, all the talks in the forums about problems with textures in consoles, the early access only to pc players, the raids being delayed etc, etc, the expansion was the last drop.
Uninstalled it and never looked back.
That taught me to never ever buy a special edition again..
Love the game, and the New York expansion, can't wait to run the towerz.
I've gotten sick of these looter shooters. In both Borderlands 3 and DV2, the enemies are bullet sponges which is not challenging or fun. It's just annoying.
Got this free like alot of my Ubi games lol they've practically given me most of them, and I never finished the 1st one because I found it boring
You gotta buy it to play it because that's the Ubisoft way
