We're so used to reporting on game delays that when a PlayStation 4 title announces it will actually release sooner than expected, it always takes us by surprise. Originally scheduled for release on 20th October 2020, Remothered: Broken Porcelain has just dropped a welcome piece of news into our inbox. The third-person horror title has moved its release date forward by a week, meaning it will now hit PS4 on 13th October.
In a press release, Shane Bierwith, EVP of global marketing at Modus Games, said: "This is an incredibly busy month for games, particularly horror games. While moving dates forward isn’t common, we’d like to allow horror fans to get their hands on Broken Porcelain early so players can have more time to experience all the great games releasing around Halloween." It is indeed a packed month for the horror genre as Amnesia: Rebirth and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope also come to PS4 in the latter half of October. Remothered: Broken Porcelain will cost £24.99 when it launches. To learn more about the game, check out our first impressions from a recent hands-off demo.

When this game get's remastered it will be called "Remothered: Broken Porcelain: Remothered Edition"
@mrobinson91
Hah! or Re-remothered.
The game seems nice, but I'm tired of these horror games with no combat and all you do is run away. Give me a game where you're not a powerhouse but you aren't powerless either (SH cough)
Im really looking forward too this game. And as someone who cant handle horror that much ill be playing with the lights on. 😆
Loved the first one and been looking forward to this one a lot so this is great news.
@Athrum I'm the same way. To be fair though their review for this game does mention having the ability to craft weapons at some point. I think. I kinda skimmed.
Either way I'll probably give it a try as I need something to play around Halloween and I'm not too interested in Amnesia or the Dark Pictures game (especially after Man of Medan).
I wouldn't call that packed. Wish oct was like a horror game advent calendar, one for every day. And though im happy for a few more horror games i cant say im overly excited for any of these.
@zupertramp It seems weird after my post but, you should try Amnesia, it is eerie af. Tried the collection that was available on Plus awhile ago and really liked both games. It's just that after that and Layers of Fear, Outlast, Blair Witch, and now it seems even The Medium won't have combat, I'm ready for some good ol' horror games where you actually try to fight the beasties.
@Athrum then go play resident evil 6 plenty of action
@Taylorzombie Thank you for thoroughly reading what I wrote. I don't want plenty of action, but I'm tired of these hide and seek horror games. I want something like the old school RE games, Silent Hill and other horror games provided, hell even RE7.
@Athrum the evil within will do
