Originally set to release in the latter half of 2020 before it was delayed into 2021, Guilty Gear Strive now has a confirmed launch date on both PS5 and PS4. The gorgeous looking fighting game is set to arrive on the 9th April, but if you buy the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition, you'll be able to play three days early, on the 6th April.
Said Deluxe Edition comes with the game's season pass, which promises five additional characters, two stages, and "extra story". The Ultimate Edition gets all of that plus a digital soundtrack, artwork, and exclusive character colours. Both of these premium editions will only be available digitally, hence the early access.

One of the more beautiful fighters I've ever seen...Haven't pick up a GG game since PS2 though. Maybe I'll try it out.
First fighting game I'll get next gen. The last couple of Arc games (Granblue and Blazblue Crosstag) were excellent. Bring back the Guilty Gear rock and this could already be THE fighting game to beat next gen.
Have they said if it is cross-buy? Do you get the native PS5 version if you buy the PS4 one?
So buy the deluxe edition to the actual, complete game. Sigh. Games are already $70 (or more); they have been for years.
Definitely picking this one up on PC as I have for the other GG titles like Isuka, Xrd REV and Xrd REV 2 in addition to other ArcSys fighters. This game already won me over with the addition of rollback netcode. That being said, the deluxe editon is already a huge yikes since it sounds like it's hiding extra content that should've been in the base game. For a company that takes stories in fighting games so seriously like Arc System Works with stuff like BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena, I'm genuinely surprised that extra story content is essentially being locked out for people who only choose to buy the standard edition. The game itself as is though looks fantastic. Really hoping Persona 5 Arena is next on the docket.
@Wavey84 Nah,that's your opinion, and I do not agree with it,because,we have not seen all the stages yet,and we do not know if those stages we have see are final.
Plus there are no activities in the background,so of course it will look less lively.
Thought I was done with GG but damn that's an impressive trailer. Very tempting.
