Shadow Complex Remastered was perhaps the highest profile title not currently supported by PlayStation 5’s backwards compatibility, but it’s now been fixed and is fully playable on Sony’s next-gen system. A new 1.2GB update available today solves any issues that the title was experiencing, and now you can enjoy it fully on the Japanese giant’s new console.
That brings the list of incompatible titles down to just nine, with patches for TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 and DWVR also due imminently. You can find out more about PS5 backwards compatibility, and the games that don’t currently work or are exhibiting some issues, through the link.

This is good news. Loved this game on the 360. Might play it again some time...
@Dodoo Same here! It was one of those rare games that I started playing and finished all in one seating. I got to the end and was like omg I need more!
Oh heck yeah! Super happy to see this!
Great, this was the only game on the incompatible list that I owned and cared about. One of the early modern takes on metroidvania before it became overly commonplace among indie releases.
I own the physical. Should work I assume.
Oh good. I loved it on 360 and currently have the PS4 version in my backlog. I hope it's compatible with PS6.
Ubisoft cant be bothered but this small studio does it. 😉👍
This is great news!
@get2sammyb Have you considered doing an article about the games that are "exhibiting issues" and what those exact issues are? I know there is a list, but it appears that some games have worse issues than others.
@Flaming_Kaiser - This small studio that's owned entirely by Epic Games.
@Shigurui Its owned by Epic but is it a big studio. Sony owns some smaller studio's too.

On the topic of games with backwards compatibility issues, Left Alive is listed as one of the games that is playable yet exhibits errors, but I tried it earlier and it immediately crashes as soon as it boots; I thought that would be worth pointing out.
Why is Left Alive of all things one of the first games I booted up on PS5 you may be wondering? I wish I knew... but I'm probably the one of the few to try it, which would be slightly helpful for figuring out the specifics of those problematic titles.
@Flaming_Kaiser - It's not as if it's some tiny indie dev like a Dean Dodrill or Mike Bithell. Chair is a studio with the full financial backing of Epic's bottomless pit of money.
@Orpheus79V Is Left Alive really a flaming pile of garbage like the reviews seems to think? What's your opinion of it? A Front Mission game can't be that bad, right?!
So happy to see this is BC. It was the one game I was truly gutted about not being there on that original list.
Now on to Joe’s Diner!
Great, I want to play this some time in the future.
Also, I hope in the end only "Just Deal With It!" that's incompatible with ps5 😂
@tameshiyaku same here, it was only game i own not compatible i think.
This is great news. I was pretty sure this wouldn't happen based on ChAIR's prior history (Infinity Blade 1-3 abandoned to time).
Very happy to be wrong.
@Turbodream It's certainly not that great, very janky and unpolished, and poorly designed in many areas. But the idea of a Front Mission survival game with Metal Gear influences drew me in even after the negative reviews after seeing it on sale. Didn't beat it though, I was hoping to finish it on PS5 with improved performance... well...
I would only recommend it if you can find it for bargain bin prices, and are that curious to play it yourself. Maybe give this video on the game a watch.
