Have you been craving a straight-up, zombie-murdering coo-op game? Turtle Rock Studios certainly loves them. The creator of the beloved Left4Dead series — oh, and Evolve — is busy crafting a brand new zombie shoot 'em up, and it's called Back4Blood.
Coming to both PlayStation 5 and PS4, the game is looking like a classic co-op shooter, offering an almost old-school experience. Just shoot those zombies in the head with your buddies, what more do you need? The CG trailer above teases some pretty ridiculous new undead atrocities, so you and your allies will have your work cut out.
Back4Blood is set for release on 22nd June 2021. Are you ready to fight against the undead horde once again? Tell us in the comments section below.

It even has a similar title, nice!
I'll consider this.
I played the first two games all the time so you could imagine my excitement when I saw the gameplay. I hope they include the special infected from the first two games too. I think this game should have been exclusive to PC & Microsoft just to honor the first two games.
I’ve played a ton of L4D2. One of my favorite ganes ever. Will buy this.
I was always jealous of xbox folks for left4dead, always heard it was a lot if fun with friends so im pretty stoked. Doesn't look scary but fun!
@Gmork___ it never aimed to be a scary game. It is hard to master both in PvE ana PvP scenarios though.
CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS!
I was incredibly surprised by this announcement and it looks like everything i would want in a sequel/spiritual successor.
Evolve brings back memories. I enjoyed the game a lot and thought it had potential. Absolutely killed by bizarre pre-orders, microtransactions and lack of support from the devs.
They better bring some new ideas to the table, as there have been a bunch of games since that have taken the formula to the next level (mainly Killing Floor and World War Z).
@MFTWrecks killing floor had potential but was a bit naff and i really like world war z...the left4dead games are still bloody good fun and i still crank the games up on my pc with my mates every now and then for a bit of zombie mayhem...cant wait for this..
I loved the L4D games so i'm really looking forward to playing this.
I used to play L4D a lot back on the first gaming PC I had years ago. Unfortunately the thing went bust 4 and a half years after I got it... Probably would be more wise with defrag and Pc care apps if I were to ever build a tower again. Anyway, this looks even better so definitely up for it.
Looking forward to this!
During my brief dalliance with a 360, L4D were a couple of my favourite titles.
@Northern_munkey I'm just saying the added customization (both in-match and for your characters), the meta progression/upgrade systems, the ongoing support, how WWZ managed a (slightly) more cohesive storyline... this now has real competition in the little niche sub-genre it created.
I hope they bring their A game. I LOVED the L4D games back on 360. Played the heck out of them.
This is my shizzle.
Trailer looked cool but not my type of game...happy for those excited though.
