'Exciting Plans' For Persona in 2021, Says Series Producer

Please port Persona 3 over! I’d kill for a FES remaster that included all the Portable content. Also, Persona 6 would be cool to see in development. Knowing Atlus though, we’re getting Persona 5 Arena, Persona 5 x Cooking Mama, Persona 5 gatcha, Persona 5 the Animation voiced entirely by Chad Kroeger, Persona 5, Persona 5, Persona 5 and Persona 5.

Before anyone says it, it isn't Persona 5 on Switch.

While on the topic of Persona - I've heard that 5 Royal makes the base Persona 5 irrelevant. It's on the PS+ Collection, but is there any point in me playing it over Royal?

@mariomaster96 Yes lol. Apart from that. I can't play every game in my backlog. And if Royal is superior, I don't mind paying for it as it's quite cheap now. I'm not playing both versions.

@JustPlainLoco Ehhhh, Persona 3 and Persona 4 already have their own visual flair which is great, it just isn’t as in your face as 5 for good reason. It makes no stylistic sense. Remake fair enough if they port to 5’s engine but they shouldn’t just turn into a clone of 5.

@TheIdleCritic royal is superior in literally every way (except I didn’t personally prefer one tidbit of the ending). If you can afford it over free, I’d definitely recommend Royal

Every March it seems like Atlus asks fans if they want 3 & 4 ported to ps4. I swear this has happened the last 3 years. Fans overwhelmingly say YEEEESSSSSS. So stop teasing us already!

@ztpayne7 I've found it for under £20, so I can stomach that. Like I said I'd rather play the superior version as I don't have the time nor inclination to play multiple.

@HotGoomba___Rebrand Why would he tease that in the PlayStation awards? Anyway I hope it's either Persona 6 which I don't think because the main games usually take a long time between release or a remake of the first one.

At this point I'd be excited for localization confirmation and a release date on 5 Scramble. Or finally just anounce P4/P5 on Switch.

But if we're honest, it'll be a new dancing game starring Teddy for PS4.

@ztpayne7 Yeah I agree Royal really made the game even more complete than it was, the new character was great and everything was just fine tuned perfectly. Like u I didn't really like the new endings, they made me feel sadder. I think the original ending (and original end credits) which it stil has were the best.

A Persona 5 Arena game would be cool. I played a lot of Person4 Arena some years back. In a way that’s how I got into the series.

The PC got a port of Persona 4 Golden right? I'd like to see that come across to consoles as well. Probably too early for Persona 6. They've not milked the hell out of all possibly Persona 5 spin-offs yet. Can't wait for the Persona 5 bus driving simulator.

What I really want is a Switch collection of all 5.

I’m still salty that p5r isn’t sold as DLC. last thing I want is to buy a second full copy of basically the same game with a little extra.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if they released a collection of 1-5 including both P2 games on PS4/5? I still have yet to play 1 or either 2.

Well, we did hear rumors of Scramble being listed on Chinese websites so I would assume that it will come stateside.

Give me Scramble that would make me pretty happy, I hope the next mainline game keeps the visuals style of Persona 5

And buy exciting news, they mean they will never localise a game outside of Japan ever again!... Sorry I'm a bit late for Halloween and spooky stories, please locate all your games in less than a year in the future. People want to give you money and they can't.

@Mega-Gazz The game's different all the way through, though. New persona, new gameplay mechanics, progression through palaces is different, new collectible things that give rewards, new scenes throughout, new activities, changes to how the scheduling works, changes to what items do, obviously a new character and completely new stuff at the end. It's not like comparing TW3 base game to TW3 with Blood and Wine included, for example.

A persona collection for noobs like me. I played and enjoyed Persona 5 royal and enjoyed it

@Mega-Gazz I was the same but having caved and bought Royal in the latest sale for 50% off I have to admit they have made a lot of changes to gameplay, cut scenes etc. It is a significantly different game in terms of mechanics and such.

Can'r say if I'm happy with all the changes yet as I have a LOT of love for the original P5 but so far I'm enjoying it.

@JustPlainLoco Nope, I don't think P4 needs it. I have P3 on my PS3 (Still to play it yet!) lol but P4 has a charm all it's own as does P5. I think that;s what I enjoy about the series as a who;e. They are all the same but different.

Would love to see a P3 and P4 remake, and also P5S launched in the West!

Collect the first two games (both parts of the second) and make a full 3D remake as one saga, then I'll be happy.

We're FINALLY getting SMT games released in 2021 after what feels like an onslaught of Persona content. I get that the fanbase is eager for more Persona but can we PLEASE give SMT some room to breathe too?

Or just flash a logo / visual for Persona 6 so we can see the color scheme (maybe green?)

Also, I feel like logically we should see Persona 5 Scramble released in the west.

I would love to see persona 3 fes, persona 4 golden, persona 5 royal, and persona 5 scramble as standalone games and as a bundle on ps4/ps5 might as well port them to xbox and switch as well if you guys want to really rack in the money.

Just port persona 3 FES and persona 4 golden on PS4. That's what we need right now.

@TheIdleCritic If you're a trophy hunter, I think it's pretty simple to get the Platinum, time consuming though.

@ShotgunRunnr I'd definitely buy more games in the series if they did that, I only have 5, I've always been vaguely informed on the series but I'd never owned one until 2017, didn't really play the game until this year though when I got royal.

Just make Person 4 Golden Remastered for Switch and I'll be happy.
