Fan-wielding muscleman Anji Mito is back for Guilty Gear Strive having skipped a number of previous entries in the series. As with every returning character that's been announced for Strive so far, Anji's been given a great looking makeover — but he still seems to carry the same rhythm and flow that veteran players will recognise.
Guilty Gear Strive is still on course to release in just a few months' time, on the 9th April 2021. It'll launch with 15 playable characters, 14 of which have now been revealed. The next trailer's coming in February.

15 characters seems so little i guess with Japanese Fighters you have to accept insane amount of DLC.
@Flaming_Kaiser For a fighting game like street fighter which has multiple characters sharing similar moveset and playstyle(e.g shotos like Ken and Ryu),yes it is daylight robbery, but for a anime fighter like Guilty Gear, this is ok,because each character in guilty gear plays unique from one another, and add to the fact that guilty gear allows more flexibility with its cast due to its mechanics, you have a formula for quality over quantity.
Plus a cast of over 25 characters, for a Guilty Gear game, will just make match up knowledge hard to come by.
I am lucky that I main Anji, in Guilty Gear accent core plus r and that Nagokirayuki is looking sick,so I am satisfied with my character choice in strive, except if the DLC's interest me.
DLC's are necessary evils for fighting games, because it helps keeps the game fresh and helps maintain the player base interest in the game itself.
The only things you need to look out for, are scummy moves like when the DLC characters are cut from the base game, but seeing as Guilty Gear strive's base cast still do not have full voice lines yet,nor are their whole moves set finalized, you do not need to worry about that with Guilty Gears strive.
Hi there fellow gamers.
Anji looks as good as I remember him.
He does seems to play the very same as the previous games, but that could chhange in a heart beat as more people play him.
The game is looking so gooood.
Hope I´ll be able to play the beta again.
Cheers, stay safe and happy new gaming year to us all
Omg just give me my baiken lol. If fighting game devs just gave the community what they really wanted from the get go it would only make your game that much better and make people want to buy it that much sooner. (btw not complaining about anji, he looks great)
@Gmork___ Probably 75% of fighting game sequels skip my previous main or add them as DLC months later, so I've been getting into the habit of getting new mains for every game. Keeps things fresh, if nothing else!
@rachetmarvel For me it makes me wait for a complete edition worked with MK 10/11 and Injustice 2.
I find that 15 characters is a low starting point but thats me original or not. Yes in the past 2D fighters we got way better deals. Or what am im saying the same goes for the 3D fighters. Lets hope it gets endings like in Injustice 2 and MK10/11.
@Flaming_Kaiser I have to agree on that. Fighting games are a dlc mess nowadays.
They should go F2P for the base version. And charge for DLC and costumes or make a upgrade kit later like SFV Champions Edition or MK11 Komplete.
That will get more people into fighting games.
@NalgasGordas Totally agree we start with less and pay more. Also before the game is released we get the great news that we get DLC. And my favorite edition a complete edition which is the vanilla version with the DLC characters greyed out full of DLC codes... Yes too make sure its useless and yes that was SFV.
