A mecha RPG, you say? Coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4? Later this year? And it's getting a simultaneous worldwide release? Okay, you have our attention.
Relayer is being developed by Kadokawa Games, and going by the above gameplay trailer, it looks like it could be pretty darn cool — especially if you're a fan of mecha anime.
Relayer's got turn based combat, which is bolstered by an in-depth job system. Special attacks activate swish looking animations, and the game's whole aesthetic is nice and clean. Hopefully we see more soon.
Is Relayer suddenly on your radar? Don't get shot down in the comments section below.

This game definitely has my attention.
This is definitely one I’ll be keeping an eye on! I love the Super Robot Wars and Front Mission franchises, and I’m very interested to see another turn-based mech game coming out!
s-e won't make another proper front mission game so this might be the next best thing for now
It’s certainly very different gameplay wise, but I have been itching for a JRPG setting similar to Star Ocean. I know this is very, very different from Star Ocean, but just having a futuristic space setting and being a Japanese game puts this on my radar. For now, maybe this will scratch that itch for an anime sci-fi space setting I’ve been hoping to see more of in games.
Huh... consider me intrigued.
I was waiting for this article. More sites need to cover the japanese games coming to playstation
After seeing the trailer, I'm definitely getting more hyped for this. Looks so good, but I hope it can deliver a good story too
If it was real time instead of turn based I would be all over this.
Oh wow! Will it have English subs and menus?
No not gundam... its strategy rpg with mecha so you would think super robot wars...
@PegasusActual93
Go play gundam versus then... I prefer turn based which is why I'm hoping front mission series gets a remake
@Kingdom_Hearts95
It's by the devs that made God wars so expect a story similar to that. It has space but won't be star ocean at all. I heard Greek mythology was going to be the main focus
I will keep my eye on this
