It’s a Wednesday which can only mean one thing: PS Store discounts. Sony’s storefront is host to hundreds of sales multiple times a month these days, and this week’s theme is Hidden Gems, meaning you may not have even heard of some of these games. The deals – which will run until 20th October – knock up to 75 per cent off, and there are some good titles included.
The headlining Hidden Gems include acclaimed co-op title It Takes Two (£26.24/$29.99) and sports minigame mash-up Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (£24.49/$23.99). The original Little Nightmares is also down to £3.99/$4.99, while Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is £6.24/$7.49. Sure, the sequel won’t be on the PlayStation 5, but that’s still a thoroughly impressive price point.
PS5 launch title The Pathless reaches its lowest price point of £17.99/$23.99, while the award-winning Celeste is just £3.99/$4.99. We’d also recommend the likes of Dodgeball Academia (£15.99/$19.99), The Procession to Calvary (£8.99/$11.24), and Spiritfarer (£11.99/$17.99). You can find the full list of discounts through here, but be sure to check back and let us know what you’re buying.

The Pathless is a very charming and actually rather good game, well worth anyones penny and pounds at that price
@PaperAlien I played it for an hour or so and it just couldn’t hold my attention. Maybe I was just playing it wrong.
Pathless is great but it takes two is amazing. Would of got little nightmares but it doesn’t have a platinum so I’ll never play it
Time to get hellblade
@AgentGuapo I was the same with it. But once you get the feel for the traversal mechanics and get past your first boss, it clicks.
@AgentGuapo I was the same at first, but yeh once you get used to how it plays / moves its a pretty good time!
So still no sale on Guilty Gear Strive? I'm eagerly awaiting for a small sale at least
Tempted by something old, with the castlevania collection...
Is Left Alive worth a shot? Looks decent and I'm an MGS fan. Also, time to snag Hellblade. Loved it on XSX when I still had it.
@Ultrasmiles you won't regret it. A truly stunning game
Spiritfarer is amazing! Please check it out.
Hellblade is one I have nearly pulled the trigger on so many times, other than a wee bit of backlog there is probably no reason not to at that price.
@AFCC Its been on sale a couple times. Watch for it to go on sale again around Black Friday along with Ratchet and Clank.
@Jeevz on the PSStore? Weird, I missed it then...
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk that's a shame you're missing out on a truly fantastic game full of atmosphere for the sake of a trophy.
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk "little nightmares but it doesn’t have a platinum so I’ll never play it"
Dear God...
Checks PS Prices for Xeno Crisis,(Sept. 2019 release,Smash TV style indie shooter),or Battle Princess Madelyn (Oct 2019 EU psn release, G'n'G style indie platformer),or Sunset Riders arcade archives get their first sales...quietly sighs! Doubt they'll ever get sales invites at this rate!😕
Its a good sale-see likes of Salt and Sanctuary,Creaks,Ghost of a Tale, Iconoclasts,Owlboy, getting a rare showing among several others-just a pity I already bought 'em before (or ps plus for iconoclasts)
Pantsu Hunter: Back to the 90’s is at a reasonable price now.
Been wanting Ni No Kuni for a while, had it on ps3 and played it for about 10 hours and then never went back for whatever reason, so that's a maybe at it's current price.
Hellblade is also pretty cheap.
You all should play Never Alone because it's a lovely little thing.
Other than that, nah.
EDIT: Or not, I just keep getting into a confirm my identity on paypal loop :s My money is no good
Little nightmare 2 seems great, it also has ps5 upgrade like RT, 4K, and 60 fps.
And maybe tales of vesperia since it's only $10, apready finished it on xbox 360 but I want to replay it again.
@Ogbert I do like the look of it so I might give it a go on my series X
Little nightmares & hellblade are good
@naruball it’s a personal choice and I get a sense of achievement when I pop a plat, I have no idea why some games don’t have a platinum but there’s loads of cheap 15min platinum games out there. I personally won’t touch them as I like a challenge. I might pick little nightmares up on my series X
Wasn't Maquette a PS+ game? Could've sworn i added it to my library, played it for a bit so must've done. Now it is displaying it as available to buy regardless which version i select.
Contra anniversary collection! 10 games for a fiver 👍 you know it meanwhile Vanquish and Prey a tenner each. Recommended.
If you enjoy games like Ori and the Will of the Wisps I definitely recommend you give The Pathless a go.
Has anyone bought a Sometimes You PS4 game after he announced he was making them all crossbuy with the Vita version? And can you confirm that's actually true. The one that I had from before the announcement never ended up giving me the Vita version.
There's a couple Sometimes You games that I'd pick up, but only if I also get the Vita version with it.
@AgentGuapo Yes it sounds like you were playing it wrong.
@Panic_Attache
At first I was going to say I'm sure it was, but for some reason everytime I hear of Maquette, I think of The Puppeteer back on PS3.
So I don't know if Maquette was ever on PS+. I know for a fact that The Puppeteer was though.
Anybody recommend Haven?
@AgentGuapo try giving it a bit longer. It took a bit to click with me, but once it did I couldn’t put it down.
Just bought Little Nightmares. Looms great. Hopefully I’ll have a fun time with it.
Finally got Nex Machina from House Marque.
@Panic_Attache
Yep it was a plus game. But I think they somehow handle plus titles different now. In the last sale I also could buy a title I've already claimed (A Plague Tale: Innocence) but it was sitting in my library just there to download.
Had been waiting for the Tokyo Olympics game to drop in price (definitely not worth a full 40 bones) so that the wife & I have another competitive game to play with each other. Good timing
WipeOut Omega Edition was my pick up and its great!!!
4 games on this list that I really enjoyed
Salt and Sanctuary
Slay the spire
Prey DD edition
Furi
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk Awesome! I hope you enjoy it
I went for Minit, Spelunky, Hellblade and Salt & Sanctuary all for a total of £15. Nice! The Hotline Miami Collection was showing as free on the store as well for some reason so I got that, even though I own them seperately. Not sure why it was showing as free, but jump on it if you can!
@Iver
Thanks for the input! I went and bought MGS5 Definitive Edition instead 🙂 Already played it on PC a while back, but I'm itching for another playthrough.
unruly heroes must have! buy it now!!!
Jotun: Valhalla Edition
@tomassi
Good picks! Picked up Minit, Castlevania Requiem, and Matterfall for about the same amount.
That's... 413 games in the backlog now. I give up.
@gollumb82
Love MGS5. Gameplay is superb. Definitive edition includes Ground Zeroes and includes a bunch of neat extras for the main game.
@GamerDad66
Can confirm Nex Machina is great and addictive.
@AFCC Ya man, saw it for 25% off and 35% off. Bet it's 50% off around Black Friday.
@Jeevz I will wait for it then!
Got Hellblade.
Although price was lower at £4.99 👍
@UnlimitedSevens oh man, my backlog is similar. I'm a nightmare for a bargain. If I see a game sub £5 that is well regarded, then I'm all over it. Similarly if there is a big AAA game sub £10 I'm on it as well! I recently bought Watchdogs on sale for £3.99 not because I have any huge interest to play it, but because it cost £3.99!!
@tomassi
I might have a problem haha. The thing is, I do intend to play them all, someday... just haven't figured out how that is gonna work yet.
@UnlimitedSevens same! What's worse is, having a wife and kids, I actually get fairly limited time to play on the PS, so I could realistically not get through this backlog before I die!
