Tales of Arise sales are still on the, er, rise following the game's release back in September. The very well received RPG has surpassed 1.5 million shipments and digital sales — that's an additional 500,000 copies since the game hit 1 million units in less than a week after launch. Bandai Namco's published some fun artwork of party members Rinwell and Law to celebrate the milestone, which we've included at the top of this article.
At this point there's little doubt that Tales of Arise will go on to be the best selling Tales title ever. It's already the fastest selling entry in the series, and we imagine that it'll continue to do well over the holidays. Still, it'll be interesting to see whether it has legs heading into 2022.

Good for them. I've been taking my time through it between other games and enjoying every aspect. Despite trying several other Tales games, this one has held my interest the most.
My first takes game. Didn’t completely finish it 🤦♂️ But it was a blast! 👍👍
Well deserved. I think the game is a solid entry.
This is my first Tales game since Tales of Symphonia all the way back on Gamecube.
It's really good, though I do feel like the beginning was very much like trying to drink from a water hose - throwing A LOT of story in such a short span of time. Things have started to slow down a little thankfully and I have more time to process the story.
Still, a solid game and well-deserved.
Asset pop-in at such a close distance on the Series X version was kind of a surprise. Is the PS5 version the same way?
I love the minimal load times, though! Fast travel is just that, fast. Getting into the game is super quick as well (from cold boot, not using Quick Resume on Series X).
How this stack up against past Tales games?
That seems like a pretty impressive number especially for a JRPG not called Final Fantasy or Persona.
Well-deserved!
hopefully they win something in the games awards
@Fight_Teza_Fight pokemon is a jrpg
Well-deserved. This is now my favourite Tales games and shows what you can do when you actually step away from an old tired formula and tweak the game a bit. It also helps that the game finally doesn't look like a PS3 game.
This is why it pained me to see the Star Ocean's trailer yesterday, sweet jesus those characters look rough.
Cool.
Lots of JRPGs are joining the million sales club recently. Monster Hunter Stories 2. Octopath Traveler. Both recent Xenoblade Chronicles games. Persona 5 went big with 3+ million sales. Shin Megami Tensei V should easily clear a million sales with the amount of attention it's getting (versus the 700,000 copies SMT IV sold on 3DS).
I’m really happy its doing so well.
Easily the best tales game so far and definitely deserves to do so well
Good game. Gameplay is fun. Character designs in general are okay but I love the painted art style. Only some minor gripes, like no "focus same target" and there's also quite a lot of re-skins in terms of enemy and weapon designs.
Really happy to hear. I still haven’t picked it up yet but it’s on my to-get list.
Congrats to bamco, the game is one of the best tales games 😃
Awesome game. Love it. Game field does feel like an older game with pretty graphics but still a great game.
@Fight_Teza_Fight It's sales from graphics. Seems to otherwise be more of the same of the last two games (zesteria/berseria). Very mediocre for me.
Love this game it deserves all the praise and sales milestones!
