Sucker Punch has announced a new patch for Ghost of Tsushima, taking the game to version 2.12, or 2.012.00 on PlayStation 5. This incoming update is focused on Legends, the excellent co-op multiplayer expansion added to the game not long after launch.
There's a laundry list of patch notes to go through, but almost everything contributes to rebalancing Legends in one way or another. Each class has been tweaked; for example, the Assassin's stealth kills are now quicker and quieter, and cooldown times for two of the Hunter's abilities have been reduced. When playing Survival and Rival modes, enemy spawns will be randomised, and will change with each match, keeping you on your toes.
There's a lot packed in here for Legends players. There's no precise date for when this patch will drop, but Sucker Punch says it'll arrive "in the coming days", so watch out for it if you're a fan of samurai co-op action.
Are you still playing Ghost of Tsushima Legends? Watch where you point that katana in the comments section below.

Its been quite some time since my brother and I played Legends Mode, so forgive me if this has already been addressed, but I doubt it.
The only update I want is the removal of stances being tied to the weapons. Allowing a player only one stance needlessly restrictive and its only exacerbated by the fact players are so used to changing stances on the fly from the main game.
It's honestly the main reason my brother and I stopped playing the mode after a few weeks. It's just not fun, and therefore negates any reason to even play.
I guess most people are ok with this though, so not much I can do. It's just refreshing to have a co-op game that isn't focused on guns. There aren't enough of them IMO. Dead Island/Dying Light, AC Unity's co-op, Splinter Cell Conviction/Blacklist (we would try to avoid using gums at all), etc.
I would have gotten into Legends mode again with the PS5 release but some how while my single player data carried over no problem my Legends data was a different story. I lost all my online progress but was mostly in for the single player so I didn't raise too much of a fuss and just moved on.
Cool for the people still playing though.
Anyone need a partner for this uwu
I'd play this mode again but it's so unfun having your weapon feel like weak stick whacking at an enemy cause of how spongey the enemies are.
@Kang81 I did find that you'd start to unlock weapons with 2 stances available, but didn't play it enough to find out whether there's any chance of being able to have all 4 unlocked for your mp guy... perhaps with particularly good weapons, it opens up, but I couldn't say!
I find Legends excellent and I still open it often to complete the nightmare survival challenges of the week. I really hope Sucker Punch greatly expand the Legends concept and the multiplayer parts of the game on the sequel for Ghost of Tsushima. I think the story part of Legends weak though, it needs more characters, a more engaging and better developed storyline and more boss fights.
@Kang81 there is a legendary tier sword called Master's Katana that allow you to switch between all 4 stances. The limit on the number of legendary items you can equip is really annoying though.
@Korgon Do you have PS5 data you don't want to overwrite (single player?) You might need to import a manual PS4 save instead of the Autosave (if that's what you did.)
The import is a little flaky. It also doesn't import settings, so difficulty, brightness, language, accessibility settings etc all revert to default after an import. That was annoying if you rebind buttons. Especially since it's a $10 upcharge for nothing but controller vibration, and the save import doesn't even work 100%...
@NEStalgia
Maybe it was the autosave... I can't remember at this point and I don't got the game installed currently so I'll just move on like I said. 😅
@J2theEzzo
Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into it.
@vict0RGM
Nice to know, but its still an odd design decision. I'm no developer, but it seems unnecessary and only included to annoyingly increase difficulty.
@Nepp67 I know exactly what you mean, it feels so much better killing enemies in the story mode, I think it has to do with the huge health bars the enemies have.
@Korgon what other games do you play?
