While PS Vita support may now have ended almost 10 years after the console originally released, we're convinced that there’s still life in the portable yet. That’s why it came as a bit of a shock recently to be greeted by two error codes when trying to play PS Plus games on the device. Both of which may prevent a certain sect of players from accessing their favourite games, but we think we’ve found the solution.
That’s the topic of today’s video, in which we offer a workaround for any unsuspecting PS Vita owner who comes up against either error code C0-9250-6 or NP-9975-0. Hopefully, you’ll never come across either of these issues, but we’re here as an unconventional method of tech support to help out if so.

Videos? 😕 hope you don’t start going this route too often. Surely a written step by step wouldn’t be too much to ask?
Anyway, thanks for the heads up. Not that I still have VITA Plus games to play, I’ve had plenty of time to play them, but others might not have.
Ok
1 - Activate 'Games' in the vita settings
2 - Download a free item like a theme from the vita store
I'll get back when I've tried these tips
*update
Just 'Activate Game' worked for me 😁
Thanks! 👌
@thefourfoldroot I despise the IGN site for precisely this. Videos and adverts galore
@normanself ah, thanks for taking one for the team to confirm this spam video is the Vita activation issue.
Re-activating your Vita doesn't just help with PS+ games. A few months back a lot of Vitas were getting errors trying to launch any game and re-activating the Vita was the fix.
@thefourfoldroot They hired Aaron a couple of months ago for precisely the reason of boosting their video profile and output, so I'd expect more of this.
I think he's doing a really good job too, and this topic is the kind of niche thing that many Playstation fans care about and will find useful down the line but wouldn't likely be covered by other outlets, so I really appreciate it!
@AK4tywill
I don’t have a problem with having videos, just with forcing us to watch them unnecessarily by not having a simple piece of text description also.
@thefourfoldroot agreed. Watching videos is pretty hard.
I’ve had to re-activate my Vita in my account settings a few times recently.
Finally someone's talking about this!! There were a lot of people having this issue since early October, but no one was talking about it. Glad this solution works, but I'm scared of what will happen the next time another random error shows up. Sony are completely ignoring any issues related to Vita maintenance
@naruball As long as proper captions aren't available for the videos, you're darn right it's hard. Some of us prefer the plain text when the whole hearing thing doesn't come so naturally, ya dig?
@thefourfoldroot
I agree, not a fan of video only articles.
I for one thought the video was great, I don’t mind this content at all, especially when it’s this well made! I do have a problem with my Vita though, and I can never find a solution for it, I was hoping this would solve it, but it didn’t :/
Every time is try to start Raman for PS1 on my vita I get a blue screen telling me “ Cannot access the memory card. “. This is the only game that tells me this, all other ps1 games/vita and psp games run just fine, even brand new I just download. It just Rayman that doesn’t work, no matter how hard I try :/ anyone got a solution? ??
System activations is the obvious thing; you can't download or run any PSN game, plus or not. But I think you can have only two portable systems activated on the same account, and that includes Vita, PSP and Playstation (Vita) TV. Strange solution for the downloads, though, purchasing an item first, even if it is free.
I had to activate the Vita to play games again - why it happened I'm not sure? I think it was when I tried to play Tomb Raider Anniversary (the PSP edition and I don't think it was a PS Plus game?) and it pointed me to the settings when I had to reactivate ability to play games?
Probably New Sony buggering about with some settings behind the scenes and not testing the ramifications on the Vita.
Finally, surely by logging into the store on your Vita, you are pinging the servers? Otherwise how would you be able to log in?
The answer is get a micro sd converter and jailbreak this baby, best portable retro console by far
