New Uncharted Movie Trailer Shows Off Bombastic Action, Sully's Moustache

I still think this is going to suck royally hard, but I'm just glad they included an original action set-piece of their own. The flying ships thing could be fun.

This is much more like it. Looks like they'll hang the story on Uncharted 4's bones. Still terribly cast though.

I still don’t know how I feel about this. The airplane crash scene was great, but apart from that… . Holland & the girl that plays Chloe look way too young. Sully without the stash just feels wrong.

Nathan Fillion should’ve been drake.

Since we're among thieves I guess Pirate Bay will be the fitting place to get this movie.

@Fight_Teza_Fight The whole cast in general feels a bit too young. I don't know why they didn't go for a cast that resemble the game characters we know a little more. Everything looks good so far, but I have a hard time seeing the Uncharted characters in that cast.

@get2sammyb Which is a problem, because that means they care more about making a quick profit, than making an actual good movie. Chasing a crowd that isn't even familiar with the series. Even if true, Uncharted was already 'cool', so I don't understand this casting choice. If anything, this feels a little underwhelming. The only thing that's missing here is Zendaya playing Chloe, and Robert Downey Jr. playing Sully.

Though he would've had a 'stache at least.

@Octane truth be told a movie being good isn't dependant on characters looking the same as a computer game. The case may disappoint you but that is a separate issue to whether the movie is any good I think.
It does look like they have taken the characters from an earlier time which may work out well if they end up making more movies and perhaps the characters grow into their gaming time line? Although Marky Mark and Tom Holland look like the type of people who will never age!

@StonyKL he has a good life, most of his roles demand he’s in peak condition I can however see a day he begins to more resemble Mickey Rooney.

That was a pretty good trailer actually! I don't have high expectations for this but at the very least it looks like a fun watch. And Mark actually looks pretty good with the stache! Wish they would have just had him have it all movie long but oh well. Bring on February!

So Sully, Nat and Chloe and I guess the black girl is Nadine? I hope not! Nadine is badass without that ridiculous hair😵‍💫And Samuel? So they put all games into one movie? Why not make a trilogy and built up the characters instead of squeezing everything in one installment? Or quadrilogy? 🙃

That looks about as far from Uncharted as you can get. I mean Mark Wahlberg...REALLY. Might have well got the Rock to star in it, not like he isn't in every other film released within the last 10 years

I like it I like it I like it! Great way for a new audience to be introduced to Nathan drake and co & it just looks like one of those films that ppl see for action, as long as they make it solid they can franchise the hell out of this

Im sorry to all the haters but it looks kinda fun it also has Sully with a moustache im certain it was hard to keep that quiet with people complaining about it every second. (dont worry i was one of those people)

I just can't get behind casting a token 12-year-old type character actor as the Nathan. Wallberg would have been a better fit if they were just gonna mashup 4 games worth of adventures into a cookie cutter action adventure movie.

I actually enjoyed the bit at the end with Sully's mustache😂

I'm with @Octane on this. And @Matej, really. The personalities of the cast are really what makes Uncharted, moreso than the bombast and setpieces. And this crew just doesn't have it.

Heck, why not get Claudia to do Chloe? It's in her wheelhouse, nobody can replace her, and she never ages, anyway....

I agree with most here, they got the cast wrong. Even in trailer you can see none of them believe in what they're doing. They should have gone for no name actors ala the original Star Wars and been prepared to build a rep on good films. Heck, they could have started with a modest budget and just made sure they got it right.

This just reeks of disappointment.

Well... looking at the acting Tom Holland is looking the part but Mark is Mark, not so much Sully.

I love Idris as an actor, but I agree with that.

Woke has gotten out of control. There’s nothing wrong with white characters being played by white actors and actresses.

I say this as a person of color.

@KundaliniRising333 apparently Wahlberg was originally down as Drake but Covid filming restrictions meant they said sod it, just go to a secondary school and pick a random kid to be drake.

Witcher is guilty of it too. I like the show a lot, but when they revealed Triss in season one I had to do a double take.

Like Triss is white with red ass hair. Not my skin tone.

It looks fun but the actors seems out of place, it's like I'm seeing tom holland and mark wahlberg adventure rather than nate and sully.

Can't help but be reminded of Pirates of the Caribbean during the flying ships scenes for some reason.

Ugh there's just no creativity left in anything anymore is there? Movies based on games or old franchises, games soon to all be based on licensed properties (just you wait!), and don't get me started on current music.........where was I? Oh yeah, stay away from my booze!

I watched the fan made Uncharted on Youtube again. 14 minutes and a much better Uncharted than this will ever be, Helicopters lifting pirate ships prove that the scriptwriters have no respect for their audience.
