As we reported earlier in the month, PlayStation is relocating its office in Liverpool. The company’s new 65,000-square-foot digs will bring it into the bosom of the city, after a stint at Wavertree Technology Park dating all the way back to the PS1. Sony’s Dave Parkinson shared some swish new photos of the campus on LinkedIn, and said: “It will be a fantastic place to create, collaborate, connect, and have fun.”
He added: “It's been a long, challenging yet rewarding journey since we decided to move from our current home of 27 years in 2018. It's been a real honour to have played a part in it and I can't wait for us to finally open the doors to the team!”
PlayStation’s Liverpool office currently plays host to its XDEV unit, which is responsible for overseeing first-party games developed by external teams, like Sackboy: A Big Adventure. The division has historically focused on European studios like Quantic Dream, but our understanding is that its remit has been expanded to developers around the world.

Looking forward to my invite to try out PSVR2! 🙏
@get2sammyb Tweet this at them. See if you get any bites 🕵️♂️
@Shepherd_Tallon I keep Tweeting Firesprite asking when I can come over to play Horizon Call of the Mountain! 🤣
@get2sammyb Never stop! 😂
I have a feeling some of us will be experiencing PSVR2 vicariously through you for the first few months.
Looks a great place to work, nice pics.
Minus 3 points for the sub header though 😉
You never crunch alone
Looks insanely good tho. A gym in your own office building? Dream
Looks lovely, but they still have to be in Liverpool...
I guess someone is a Liverpool fan?
I want that ceiling light.
Looks nicely done... but where are the windows? 🙄 picture selection/angles makes it look like an underground bunker.
There are Everton fans in Liverpool as well you know.
😉
Looks cool, hopefully they'll create plenty of PlayStation magic at their new gaff.
Hope these guys can work with Firesprite on a brand new Wipeout! Maybe the ps5 could reach 4k - 120fps?
@Col_McCafferty according to them there's only Everton fans in the City 😂
Looks lovely, I should've chosen a different career path.
Wow they even have a PS5!
Love the mural in the first picture. It looks like a lovely place to work too.
Every time I see the inside of these studios, I find it hard to believe that they are really somewhere people actually work. Guess that just shows its an environment most people will never get the luxury of working in.
Big bowl of scouse 🥘 fuels productivity
@Ken_Kaniff I work in my pyjamas with homes under the hammer in the background. That's luxury!!😁
