Does anyone else feel like State of Play, in its current guise, only continues to exist because Sony signed contractual obligations to promote Ghostwire Tokyo – and Deathloop – with live broadcasts through until release? That’s how it feels sometimes. Anyway, the Tango Gameworks title continues to look cool, and we’ll have a lot more to say about it shortly.
In the meantime, embargoes and all that. Enjoy the trailer, which is totally different to the last trailer. (We bet you don’t know if we posted an old trailer without checking the date, do you?)

I’m so pumped for Ghostwire it’s not even funny. It looks so unique and different, not to mention absolutely gorgeous.
You know, I’ve also sort of felt like State of Plays have been oddly placed to strictly advertise Bethesda titles in pre-meditated way and then were filled in with other soon-to-come titles. I feel like Sony would otherwise prefer to be frustratingly silent with their announcements.
Yeah, it felt like Ghostwire Tokyo's trailer during today's SOP felt obligated. We already had a separate SOP so it's weird seeing this game again in today's presentation. I will still play Ghostwire since it looks very unique but I don't think the game needs to be presented every single time.
I didn't care about this game a month ago.
Now I can't wait for it.
I'll still be playing Horizon and Elden Ring by the time it gets here, but it's definitely on the list.
Fighting in this looks like it will get boring fast, might pick it up in one of the japan sales in a few months but not paying full price for this
It looks pretty. The ghosts/monsters look creepy.
I just hope it doesn't fall into fpshooter tropes. "Here's a shotgunlike spell" and "here's a machinegunlike spell", etc.
I love how abrasive these takes are. At least it’s not some watered down mainstream article where it feels like they’re getting paid to hype up every release under the sun.
Lot's of cool stuff coming from Xbox Game Studios these days
***ducks for cover***
Why the cynicism? If PlayStation didn't promote it you'd be complaining they don't do enough to support new titles. Sheesh.
Yeah agree very weird takes on this game. Looks fun and at least they haven’t overhyped this game like others…
I'm interested in playing this still, but waiting to see if the game has English voices...
Looks interesting, but I won't buy this on playstation, either I'll buy this on pc for about $35, or wait for it to come to gamepass.
This looks way better than deathloop, sony should market this game more compared to deathloop.
I'll pick it up at some point, looks quite interesting.
I'll pick it up for maybe £25/30 down the line. I've got so many games in the backlog, I genuinely think I'll never get round to them. At this rate seeing 2023 at the end of a trailer is a sight for sore eyes.
